goldbox attache whit no model vehicule

Hi,
I do some search when ive got some bug or need to learn some stuff but for this one, i dont find anything. (more then 24 hours :oops: )

First, i wanna appologize you about my english. Im not very good at it but ill try hard :lol:

To be simple, i do a map whit Radiantgtk for ET. Nothing big… Just for trying mapping.
So what i do, i copy all entities and brushs in golrush.map (filter world on) and put all that thing in my new map et move at good spot. All work nice exepted for 1 thing. The red goldbox when i change the truck to a custom boat.
I try to change the truck to a boat. (remplacing the clip brush by my boat brush and delete model path)
my boat was not à model. It make whit brush.
So my problem is whit the redboxgold… they dont showing up in the boat :? like supose to be at the back truck

i repeat, if i dont change it (truck to boat), ive got no problem.

any idea?

I found i good tutorial on this website but like i said, my vehicule is a brush and not a model… maybe that the problem?
Can i put a red goldbox on my new boat make whit brush?

other info:
When i lauch the game, ive got 5 warning like this:

setstate called no entities found

Someone can help me on this?

The goldbox is actually a model, that is usually attached to the truck.
If you delete the truck, the goldbox has nothing to attach itself to, even though the script probably still says “attachtotag [targetname]”. This is also probably where your 5 errors come from, the game can’t find the truck anymore.
This is not really a problem though…

You will need to attach to goldbox model to your boat brushes.
Now, I don’t know if this is possible… I don’t know if you can attach an entity to a brush, but you can always use a script_mover with a model2 key and attach it to that… but I’m not sure.

Have a search for ‘attachtotag’, this is probably what you need.

i will try whit the boat on the venice map tonight. But i will prefer my brush boat…
So question still on.

I will try other think like put a very small model in the boat and attach the box to this small (hidden) model…

Yea, Flippy’s right. the red models in the back of the truck are attached to tags in the truck.md3 model itself. if your changing out that model, your removing the tags they attach to.

I wrote a tutorial a while ago on how to measure and create tags for a mounted mg. This applies to any tag to attach anything to. You should be able to create a model rig for your boat so you can put the red models exactly where you want them.

I wrote it mainly for people to get a mounted mg onto their movers. It can be used for getting a tag_rig working. Its pretty straightforward, but if you have any questions feel free to ask.
