Sorry, my O.P. was very negatory. It involved many beers and a tantrum.
Many, many years ago, I would spends hours every single day playing first person shooters, starting way back in the late 90’s with Quakeworld, then moving onto W:ET. I absolutely love the FPS genre.
I can only spare a few hours a week to play these games now due to work and lifestyle, so I like short games without too much commitment, so in Dirty Bomb I’ve been playing quick games in objective mode. In CS:GO, I play deathmatch or arms race etc.
I have been involved in the anti-cheat community for a very long time; reviewing demo’s and screenshots. I can spot a hack a mile off. I shouldn’t have dissed Nexon anti-cheat solution in particular; any anti-cheat is only as good as the CVAR and MD5 checks that the community provides.
I did note that a couple of people said that I might have got a self-revive hack confused with a medic class player. Absolutely not… The most noticeable increase in self-revive hackers appeared when Fletcher was last in free rotation. I did also see a number of red-eye players using self-revive hacks for some strange reason.
Yes I know… people don’t buy solitary aimbots, or wall-hacks, or self-revive hacks; multihacks are the norm. Cheaters just enable what they need, and usually in a subtle way, so that it doesn’t attract attention.
I genuinely hope that dedicated server files for D.B. will be made available in the future. I will keep D.B. installed, and watch for updates
Peace, chill, etc.
