Hello, Guys.
Anyone know what this sentence in ai_scripting adds to the player, allied or enemy on gameplay?
I read this sentence(command) on ai_scripting from the Russian addon Operation Trondheim - Iron Cross.
See the pic attached.
Giveinventory item_?
There is only one item to give through giveinventory, it key_binocs, ie binoculars.
all other items such as ignored. and give meaning no bots like
Strange the mapper Vladimir Vovstein have used this feature useless as he was a veteran.
hello Eugeny how i can make in the single player maps from rtcw the models like m109 or models/mapobjects/torture/cage2.md3 to make solid in edited sp maps??
I noticed playing PS2 version and watching videos about Xbox version that this feature(giveinventory item) was added when the enemy soldier dies.
The important aspect of the commend is “inventory”. In other words it can ONLY be used to give items to the player that belong to the “inventory” category of objects; books, keys, binoc’s and so on. All other types of item/object have their own specific category command that should be used instead, i.e. give ‘health’ (givehealth_[item]), give ‘weapon’ (giveweapon_[item]), give ‘ammo’ (giveammo_[item])etc. So what is likely going on in that situation is upon enemy death the player gets a key or other inventory object.
Thanks for the information, kat. As expected from someone who has been in the Rtcw community since the beginning.
