Since Ghostclip, the vertical beam present when aiming Kira’s laser is no longer bright and visible at all distances.

It’s invisible at close range.

It starts to appear (fades in) at around 384 world units, but it’s so faint, it might not be noticeable.

At FOV 100, it usually invisible and can’t be seen at all at a distance. It just might be seen towards the last seconds of the orbital laser’s lifespan, when it gets brighter.

At FOV 65, it’s sometimes visible at a distance. It may be very faint.

It’s definitely visible when viewed at a distance through a sniper scope.

It’s possible that Javelin’s guided rocket laser was accidentally applied to every other user (including [but not limited to] Arty, Kira, their laser painters, and Skyhammer).
Testcase on any server:
- Underground #1 attackers:
- From the bottom of the escalators,
- Start a laser at the departures timetables at the defenders side
- Either:
- Immediately look down at your feet and press Q
- Walk backwards until the vertical beam is visible
- Or:
- Turn around and hold Q
- While holding Q, aim closer or further away from yourself until the vertical beam is visible

Description
The Ghostclip update changed the appearance of Kira’s laser targeting.
When moving an active pillar of fire, the desired location should have a flat square+circle-cross appearing just above the ground, and a small vertical laser beam similar to an impending Arty strike.
The vertical laser beam is now missing.
Steps to reproduce:
As Kira, activate a satellite laser
Press Q or equip to move the laser somewhere else
Expected results:
Green/red cylinder
Light blue square+circle-cross
Light blue vertical laser beam
Actual results:
The vertical laser beam is gone.
