Looks like a fun idea not sure about if it’s viable.

(Madonna_) #3

you forgot to add the part about enemies shooting the hologram, will it stay there or just vanish after some shots like a normal turret?

(PINGU_1) #4

@satisfyingMarriage Hologram is a 3-D object which is produced by a laser. So as it is not actually matter and is just a illusion created by light it should do nothing when shot at. But the device that creates hologram if there was any in the original idea should be able to destroy.

(BushWanker) #5

@Pingu_1 @satisfyingMarriage the device, size of heartbeat sensor, has 20hp

It would actually be more fun, if the hologram actually projected three identical models of the merc and they would all somewhat act like a real player, by walking around and shooting the enemy, but not doing any damage.
It sounds like a fun ability to annoy the opponent with, but that would make it more of a pain in the ass for the dev team to program than the original idea.

The deploy buttons could be changed as well, from Q -> E to Q -> left mouse button.

(BushWanker) #7

@TheFluffyOne would be a nice idea, but we would see it in 2030 at the devs rate, AI’s are hard to program.

(PINGU_1) #8

@Bushwanker they are only going to consider merc suggestions after they have successfully released turtle. Which in itself seems a difficult task maybe due to funds and not enough support. I mean the number of players playing DB are very less.

(BushWanker) #9

@Pingu_1 its just that they had the summer squash and stuff, so maybe we will see more content in 2017.
But Turtle and Dockyard are probably on the top of there list now, and then Javelin hopefully.

(Naonna) #10

This sort of a.i. takes a LOT of programming and mapping for levels. While not the most viable, It’s a cute idea. I’d still advise against implementing it, if only to give the dev team time for something more applicable in-game.

(BushWanker) #11

@Naonna Its just a hologram in a straight line.
No AI involved.

(Naonna) #12

Then who would shoot at that? would it be affected by gravity? If not, prepare for weird lookin’ stuff to happen. At best it would work once, since it’s easy to tell what’s human in a game and what’s not.

Congrats on creating nerfkira 2.0!
