Ghost

(rbh) #1

ok here is the question im trying to find some tutorials on makeing a shader file so i can make a texture non solid

i am makeing a map that i want to have a ghost flying about and it will pass right through a player i have tryed a noclip with a texture that when static i can walk through it but when i make it a moveing object it turns solid
so any help or ideas would be helpfull

if its a script_mover untick the solid check box

or try to make every textureside that you don’t use a common/trigger texture.

You would use nodraw for that. Why would you use a trigger texture if you’re not going to turn it into a trigger brush? I can imagine many problems coming from that…

i tryed the nodraw when you make it a mover it turns solid

im looking at doing a script mover but its a little confuseing lol

There is a flag at the script_mover called “non solid” you can turn it on and off.

A ghost has been realized already.
In rivrstyx map “Resurrection”.
You could have a look there.

wow! Theres a fire problem as I see: make all sides common/nodraw except one whitch must have a fire texture, same with all textures that has an alpha channel
