Gfx Settings For Performance and Quality

(arcane) #1

Hi, all.

I notice there is not been any posts yet regarding what settings you should have on and off regarding FPS and performance, so I did a little testing myself and so far have found that disabling the following commands helps quite a bit with FPS but does not affect the way the game really looks.

Settings To Turn Off

Anti-Aliasing
Motion Blur
Motion Blur Pause
Bloom
Dynamic Lights
Dynamic Shadows
Dynamic Decals

Turning these settings off improved my overall FPS and also smoothed out gameplay slightly. This could vary depending on what PC components you have, these settings are based on what worked with my Nvidia GTX 750ti.

I will add any more that I find that help with FPS and don’t make the game look terrible and will post below.

Hope this helps.

Enable the One frame interval , that helps alot with FPS.

Ah thank you I will try that, could you explain a little about what the command actually does? As I wasn’t too sure myself. Thanks

If you are into ini “scrippting” you can disable the texture streaming if u have enough ram. That will greatly improve your frames and it will even look exactly the same as before, but beautifuller since there is no “fading” in of the textures.

Randomguy7’s tutorial on how to turn it off.

I have 24GB of Corsair Vengeance so I would say I have enough, thank you for adding that to the post.

yeah should be enough, works with around 16gb since it is loading every texture into the ram which isnt that small… uses upto 3-4 GBs afterwards.
