getting that last achievement

title says it all I’ve been playing the game on and off since launch and I’ve enjoyed it but just the other day I was checking out the achievements after I got the one in one-million shoot and notice that really I had done all the hard stuff and really the only things left were things like “Kill with X skill” and one other the one about disarming a mine.

by the sounds of it its quite simple spot a mine as an engineer and hope that some one disarms it… but it in all my time of playing its never happened… and I’m not that shocked mines can often be grenade’d or shot faster the disarming them plus safer I’d guess but I was hoping that at some point the AI would have done it.

So what I want to ask is is their some sort of trick to get the AI to help or it is just a case of asking players online or waiting till it just happens?

Just ask for it:) “hey guys, help me out on the achievement and defuse a spotted mine please!”

i think you meant to say spotting mine as operative. I had a bot disarm some mines that i spotted during campaign. play a level where it makes sense for the AI to disarm a mine and one where they are likely to come across a mine that blocks their pathway (i think the bot disarmed the mine i spotted on aquarium, where there are a number of funnels that everyone goes through).

(the other (easier?) way would be to team up with a human engineer char)

Yeah, I’d say just keep playing as an Operative on the offensive side, and constantly spot mines. I don’t recall if it was a bot or human that disarmed the mine that got me the trophy. Maybe if you played with “hard” bots they’d be smart enough to disarm.

I wonder if you spotted a mine and then stepped on it (“I’m stuck on a mine!”) would provoke a bot to disarm it quicker.

just an update. Still no luck getting the AI to help even stood on a mine a few times… AI engineer didn’t seem to give a s**t and human players didn’t seem to notice (after looking online yeah… AI just seem to walk over them even if you’ve spotted them… nice)

this is actually getting annoying its such an easy thing to do in theory 1 see mine 2 some one else disarms it. tied hard AI norm AI and for the lolz Easy AI.

I’ve also taken into account maybe its the skills I have. (since the AI seems to balance its self close to the player) So I’ve done it with a level 2 and 20.

go onto hard mode, your teamates pay helluva lot morea ttention to mines, being downed and other junk

On online and just ask for it. There must be someone helpful out there :slight_smile:

I dont know if its just the time of day (only a few english speakers id guess) but often if I ask I dont get a reply… and again I’ve tried hardmode and the AI just dont seem interested

I got it courtesy of some kind soul on PS3. Sent him a message on PSN asking for help and he sorted me out next game. Hallelujah!

Found it very hard previously to get someone to help. Once the PS3 DLC lands, I’ll be back on (got the Platinum already) to try it out - will definitely return the favour where I can!
