Today when I started up Dirty Bomb and joined a server I was welcomed with a black screen then a message with said “You were kicked from the server”. I thought nothing of it and tried again. After a few attempts which were unsuccessful I gave up.
I thought that it could’ve been the lag spikes I’ve had when playing the game so I checked out reddit for any performance upgrades hopefully fixing it. I also beforehand checked people with the same issue but found nothing like mine. So I modified the .ini files and they had a significant boost when tested in the Assault course however, the servers still kicked me.
After a few more attempts, I tried reseting the files with the backups but to no awail. It gives me no explanation to as why I’m getting kicked but a few “profilegame stop” which are an entirely different issue that probably doesn’t even relate to this one. The server could kick me at any moment, wether I’ve just joined and selected a merc or even done a big deal of damage to enemies, but it never goes past 3 mins and I’m already out of it.
Sometimes the server joining might result in a ban that I couldn’t have gotten since hacking is what I would never do in a public match as I know the consequences and what harm it does to other people. No other background apps were running that could be considered unknown and “hackware”.
