Getting countered

So dont shoot them? Make the most of the fact they detect through thin walls  or just peek forward around the corner then jump back. That’s how I avoid explosive pancakes
Not if they have lock-on. Who the @$!# thought it was a good idea to have lock-on mines?

If they just reduce the burst speed or damage a little bit they will be fine. Not broken per se.
thats why we have phantom

I personally found a trick to not get explode when a mine is behind an unreachable corner.
The hitbox of the mine is a little bit bigger than the explosion box (Idk how to name it?) so you can shoot just at the limit of the mine behind a corner without getting caught in the explosion, even if you’re close to the mine. Just few pixels spot. Try it, maybe I tell some bs, but since a few weeks ago, I try to shoot it like I said and I don’t get damage. You maybe must shoot at the Red light rather than the mine. Or very close to the border of the mine.

I find Fletcher way more OP and annoying than proxy. I played proxy like 70h and Fletcher only 20h, and I’m feeling better at stomping noobs and dealing with assaults mercs played by good players with Fletcher. Because good players are aware of mines, and stickies are way more efficient, because you don’t have to wait for the kill or suicide yourself, you just throw it, stuck someone, and get the kill, or shoot a few rounds of blishock and get the kill. You enter a fight with a +100 damage bonus.
Since the moment I tried Fletcher, he’s my engineer to go. No more weak proxy.

I don’t get it why most of you hate proxy so much. After the event, it was a lot of her (because skin and free rotation) but now, they are not that many proxies. Thunder is more annoying at the moment than any proxy I can play against.

didnt read a lot, but stokers molly to the face is annoying, and delivering nuclear pancakes. as much as it is cheap, its a LOT of fun. hopping down into a group, and giving em a pancake of death is much more fun than getting a quad kill with the fragger nade. you just get adrenaline pumping of going so fast and everything blowing up

(proxy experience is based on 4 matches that i played with her on one random day)

Well how do you propose that a literal landmine should require skill (when it already requires map awareness and timing/aim of you’re going to shoot it before it arms)? Should all proxies just be allowed to literally throw explosive frisbees across the map?
