Getting a *.campaign working

(DrDoom) #1

Just started editing ET, all I want to do is get a custom campaign going with the new maps I’ve downloaded, for my works ET server.

Ok I’ve created my own pk3 file with my *.campaign file in the scripts dir inside it. The contents of the script file is:
{
name “Dr_Doom1”
shortname “Dr_Doom1”
description “2003. People nip Dr Dooms head about wanting to play new maps too much 'so Doom decides to try to write a campaign so they will leave 'him alone!”
maps “flughafen;beach;pool;temple;trainyard”
mapTC 374 374
type “wolfmp”
}

Now it appears correctly in the host game screen with all the maps listed, but when we play it, it does not move on from the first map flughafen. It just starts on flughafen again!!!

Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Cheers,

Dr Doom

If the maps I am using in my campaign have there own *.campaign files could that be whats causing the problem?

no that would not happen. a maps campain file is not loaded when a map is called.
your file looks right make sure that “beach” is the actual map file name you want to call. in the pk3 it would be beach.bsp.
but thats the only thing I can think of.

Oh one other thing make sure you are not runing your server in stopwatch mode.

Would the value of the ‘nextmap’ varible effect it? As at the moment it defaults to ‘0’ on startup. Would setting it to ‘1’ help?
