Get rid of secondary notifications?

So as you know, objectives now need line of sight to see repair / defuse progress. I was wondering if we could also stop notifications such as “the gas tunnel has been enabled” from showing, either to defenders or both teams.

My reason for this is on some maps, such as terminal, the secondary objectives can be crucial, and the enemy not only knowing that it’s ready, but also where at least one person is is annoying. It also promotes the defenders having to be more present around the map.

Thoughts?

Yeah, I’ve never been a fan of the notification that the forward spawn is being captured on Terminal. It is a magnet for people who pay attention to run right at you. I use it as a baiting mechanism more than anything else. Which I guess is OK since you can use it tactically like that but I still would prefer that it just wasn’t something announced.

It’s pretty hilarious. I may as well write into the chat:

“Oh, hello there. I’m here, at the gas tunnel. So if you want to have a party with me, feel free to join! :)”

If you remove those somebody else will argue to remove the bomb plant or ‘EV repaired’ notification.

@kibloy I’m not sure if your joking, so I’m going to answer seriously.

Secondary objectives are supposed to help teams complete the objective, but at the moment they act more like focal points for combat. While this isn’t a bad thing, taking away the notifications would help make stealth plants easier, as well as making distraction tactics more viable. It may also increase team work, as people have more excuses to communicate.

Removing notifications for primary objectives would only infuriate the team, and make sneak plants stupidly effective. Imagine the last stage on underground if there was no indication of C4 unless you had line of sight on it.
