get rid if the card upgrade (adding perks from lead to bronze)

(BananaSlug) #1

the idea is simple, lead and iron cards will have all augments.

why?
i think that system of upgrading power of card is stupid and pointless (if there is a reason please tell me)
soo the trade in/up system would stay the same way (maybe adding iron and lead to trade in)

and what would happen with bronze cards in shop?
we could downgrade them to lead or replace them with cheap, unreadable default cards, these deflaut cards would have all augments,

cards in shop should be cheaper, not sure about the real money prize

show your thoughts, hate me, tell me that idea is stupid, whatever you want

making lead the card sold in store and having all the augment unlocked is pretty nice

increasing the value of having a bronze.

but then people would just own a lead or iron and not upgrading skins…

(BananaSlug) #3

@arcaneCanvas but why? that doesn’t make sense, its like saying that now people arent trading up because they can have bronzes? no. they trade up anyway

May be this will relate to the reason why SD still abandon some loadouts in bad state like THUNDA’s MA95.

You use the option that you want for main loadout, and Trade-Up for next level not just for cosmetics, but to clear up bad, wasted loadouts that’s going to pile up.

Also, we don’t trade up only for cosmetics too.

What people want is Rarity. Cobalt is the hardest loadout to craft, and just by owning it, it proves you are the luckiest bastxrd and scarce person in this game.

Lead, Iron does encourage you to Trade-Up to Bronze for full augment set, but after that, it’s all about emphasizing, specializing yourself.

Everyone can use Bronze, but not Gold Swiss or Cobalt Fragment that’s just why.

Dunno about this, what I really want is to have default skins have 3 augments as well because some look nice.

It’s something to work towards. Games that give you all the unlocks right at the start of the game have much less longevity (looking at Battlefield here - you can unlock everything in less than a day if you’re a decent player). And I personally love the way that the augments are added in Dirty Bomb because they don’t restrict the player from choosing which weapons they want - it only makes a SLIGHT improvement on the augments from lead to bronze. This slight improvement isn’t going to make anyone who is new to the game substantially better (unless it’s a REALLY strong augment for the merc in question, but most of those kinds of augments got nerfed anyway). Basically the DB system of unlocking lead, iron and bronze loadouts only makes those loadouts slightly better, so there IS a reason to aspire to those bronze loadouts, but you’re not going to suffer hugely for only having a lead or an iron (hell, I have about 10 Iron and Lead loadouts on my Favourites list that I refuse to trade up, just because I like to swap back to using the unique weapons on those loadouts).

TLDNR: The system is fine.

say that to most of the level 10 having cobalt already

Let the defeault default be empty, but I’d love the option to have lead or default skinned cards with full augments.

(doxjq) #9

Same tbh. I’m not a fan of the lead cards but I actually prefer the look of the iron camo to the bronze camo haha.

I personally can’t stand the iron and bronze camos. There’s just something about the camo pattern/colour combo that I can’t stand  On the flip side though, the founders camo looks nice.

That’s only one cobalt per one merc.

I won’t say if they have 19 cobalts from very beginning.

(Szakalot) #12

its fine, its really easy to obtain higher rarity cards, and at the beginning it gives you a sense of a (big) improvement.

People that would make the P2W argument would look desperate.
