Hmm, guess I was confused by your official ET:QW homepage ( www.enemyterritory.com ) than

And digibob has a sign on his desk which says ā€œReturn to Castle Wolfenstein ENEMY TERRITORYā€.

It is a mystery. :bash:

(Salteh) #24

:nag: thinks… "Who Cares  "

(Nail) #25

hmmm, everyone I know calls them ā€œEnemy Territoryā€ and ā€œQuake Warsā€, seems pretty simple to me

(B0rsuk) #26

Ok, I know I already posted it several times, but look here:

http://zerowing.idsoftware.com/

So RTCW:ET on idsoftware website.

(madness) #27

How many times have we heard this line by now ?

ā€œā€¦where to go, what to do when u get there and what your rewards will beā€¦ā€

(Wils) #28

You know, we’ve been through this before: http://zerowing.idsoftware.com/linux/et/ <- look at the title.

I don’t understand why people are confused by a couple of erroneous references on the internet. Have you never installed or played the game, or something? It’s quite clearly called Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

(Joe999) #29

i say: who cares, but … as we are going into details … … i’m wondering more why quake wars is called ā€œeee tee kjuuuh dabbeljuuhhhā€ (however you write that in pronunciation language with 26 characters, hope you get the point) by the devs in the vidz. i mean, maybe it’s a native english speaker thing, to me as a non native english speaker ā€œeee tee quake warsā€ is spoken faster and sounds better.

(GlobalWar) #30

Wow!! Pauls last post was december last year…there are a lot more posts of SD staff the last days…Maybe they are done playtesting?

Or am i just hoping for something that is not going to happen?

(Wils) #31

It’s probably because all our development trees and game folders are called ā€˜ETQW’ somewhere.

(Mars) #32

And ET is W:ET and QW is Quake World…

(B0rsuk) #33

My point exactly. They had a lot of time to fix it, but nobody cares.

(Locki) #34

Has it really been that long since I posted? Woah! :???:

Well, if it’s any consolation, I lurk here reading the forums all the time, even when I’m not posting. Unfortunately I’m not up at 4.00am, and so I’ll never beat Wils in posting the official SD comment on threads. I quite often take action on things when I see them though (the enemy-territory.com thing being a good example).

If I miss anything on the forums, especially the funny stuff, I can always rely on Salteh to let me know via Messenger

Paul/Locki.

(Nail) #35

(the enemy-territory.com thing being a good example).

We can’t thank you enough for your assistance

(Rhoades) #36

so what does ā€œfoam of indecisionā€ mean anyway?

(GlobalWar) #37

Paul…2 posts in just one day…and Wils and Mars in the same topic…you guys MUST be bored of play testing…I know ā€˜some’ guys who will be more then willing to help out

Done teasing, it’s a good thing to see you on the forum

(kamikazee) #38

Agreed. It is CLEARLY in the game menu, the docs/readme’s, and even the install path.

I was thinking of sending a CD with a copy of W:ET to anyone who claims otherwise. Now all I need to do is find the Activision guys who put those wrong titles online…

(iwound) #39

Infiltrator
Alliance: Alien, Unknown
Weapons: RailGun, Accurised Lacerator (w/Scope)
Equipment: Deploy Tool: Psi-Radar, Flyer Drone, Teleporter
Description: … When quick movement is essential, the teleporter can be used similar to the UT 2004 translocator device. …

Anyone got some xp of using this… handy for nipping to the corner shop.

(kamikazee) #40

Yay! Those UT translocators were fun.

It just shoots a disc to which you can translocate at a later time - if the thing is not disrupted. In case if disruption, you’re ā€œtelefraggedā€ at the receiving end.
To disrupt such a teleporter device: shoot it.
