I clicked play in steam for DB, and then next to Dirty Bombs name it says running for a few seconds, and then it goes away. This has just happened right after I updated the game because the event ended. I also tried making a shortcut to the desktop and tried running it there but that didnt work.

If you have AVG anti virus. a recent update is more than likely preventing DB from launching. You will need to disable it in order to launch DB.
