Game Won't Launch!

(lavaRake) #1

I just got accepted to beta test this game today. When I launched the game, it gives me an error message stating Game Has Stopped Working, A problem is causing the game to shut down. How do I resolve this issue?

(Meat) #2

Try uninstalling the game and then, download and reinstall it again. Probably a bad download.

(lavaRake) #3

Still didn’t work, any other suggestions?

(Syshix) #4

I’m hoping you’re launching this from steam right?

(lavaRake) #5

Yes I am using STEAM Launcher! Why you ask?

(itssmacks) #6

He asked because there is an old launcher that no longer works
Is it the windows error coming up? or the anti cheat?

(lavaRake) #7

It is the windows error message saying that the Game Has Stopped Working! My Steam Launcher is up to date and I do use steam launcher to launch Dirty Bomb. I do not have Nexon launcher and I did downloaded and installed the game using Steam launcher.

(Nail) #8

did you verify file integrity in Steam ?

(lavaRake) #9

Yes I verified, it did state 1 file been missing and will be reacquired. Relaunched it and still same error.

(Nail) #10

something is blocking that file, if you verify again it will tell you 1 file again, I think it’s a xigncode3 problem, in theory they’re working on it, but that’s Nexon end not Splash Damage

(lavaRake) #11

Yes, that exactly the issue because I have reverified a few times and it constantly says 1 file being reacquired. still the same error. I mean this beta coming to and end soon and I just got my beta key yesterday so pretty much pointless in getting this beta key if I can’t even access the game. A little disappointed.

(Nail) #12

game will be back

(lavaRake) #13

Yes but then I will have to wait for the next beta which is pretty BS!

(Jorj) #14

I also have the same issue and once the game crashes it replaces my clipboard with this:

Fatal error!

Address = 0xfe43fb (filename not found) [in F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Dirty Bomb\Binaries

\Win32\ShooterGame-Win32-Shipping.exe]
Address = 0xfd3872 (filename not found) [in F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Dirty Bomb\Binaries

\Win32\ShooterGame-Win32-Shipping.exe]

So when will they fix it, any ETA?

(CannibalHoliday) #16

Are you running any antivirus software? If so, disable it then have steam acquire the file again.

I have this issue with another one of my steam titles. Avast always tagged the executable as a virus and moved the file to the quarantine folder on me.

(lavaRake) #17

Tried it, still same error. I disabled AVG antivirus and turned off my windows firewall and windows defender.
