I’ve been at trying to fix this for a few weeks now.
I started trying to run the game on an old HD6670, the game launched fine, however no maps would load due to running out of video memory. I figured it was time to update my card, so I built a new setup and am now using an R9 270. The game doesn’t launch now at all, except maybe every 1 in 20 tries. The times I do get it to launch successfully, I still get the same “Ran out of video memory” error.
I thought that maybe it was windows not being compatible with my card, and upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 32 bit, and still have the same problem.
I read that it may be possible that the game is being run in compatibility mode, however I don’t have a launch icon in the SteamApps/DirtyBomb folder to change it, and when I create a desktop icon there is no compatibility mode tab or selection when I right click (both in properties and from the drop down when I right click).
Attached is my dxdiag results. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
*Not sure if I should post dxdiag results here or not, but I still have them.
