Game will not start

Hopefully this is something simple that I am overlooking, but after being away for most of this week I came back and DB isn’t running… meaning I click on the DB icon on the screen and… nothing. :confused: GameLauncher.exe is running, but the game doesn’t come up at all. I did upgrade my graphics driver to AMD’s 13.10 Beta today before attempting to launch the game, but after discovering that DB wasn’t launching I uninstalled that revision of the driver completely and reinstalled the 13.4 which was working last weekend. I don’t want to assume this is related to the graphics driver I’m running, but since I made a change I wanted to mention it. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the game, which made no difference.

there is a known bug where starting the launcher doesn’t work/do anything. launcher window doesn’t appear. you can still see it via task manager, though.
shutting down launcher via task manager and starting it again resolves the issue. not sure if this is what’s happening to you?

Thanks! Even though I previously tried killing the process and clicked on the game again, I couldn’t get the launcher window to appear. Now it is for some reason… I guess this is my lucky evening! :smiley: I’m wondering if perhaps it could be related to the AMD Beta graphics driver after all. I may try installing it again to see if that makes a difference.

Doubt it, happens on vNidia sometimes as well.

Seems when it happens it happens often, but when it’s not happening it hardly ever happen… if that makes sense. :smiley:

It’s usually just a case of persistence wins in the end.

Thanks, and what you describe matches what I’m seeing… I can go many times where the launcher comes up as you’d expect, and then a maddening streak of… nothing. I had not seen this before now, which is kinda curious in itself. But now that I’m seeing it, I’m REALLY seeing it.
