Game will not load

Every time I try and run the game it starts to load but once it begins to load the main menu it just crashes and goes back to the desktop without even giving me an error message. It at times crashes before it even gets that far.

I’ve tried re-installing, I’ve verified the game cache to find that there will be one file missing and had steam reacquire the file, then re-verified successfully, I made sure I updated my windows and video drivers, and even tried running and even re-installing the game after disabling the firewall to see if that would help but I still have the same problem.

I’m running
OS - win7
CPU - i5 3570k
GPU - radeon 280x
RAM - 8 gigs

Note - Everytime I try running the game when I run another verification on the game cache It says one file is missing, until I fix it again.

Thanks for the report TiLter-. Quick question, did you manually modify any of the game files? Also, if you could provide your crash log, that could be quite helpful, you should be able to find it here:

Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\ShooterGame\Logs
