Game violation for nothing????

(Mericana) #1

I was in a competitive match for one of my missions, and right before the game started some dude threw in a line of code, no idea if it did anything or not, but afterwards most everyone and myself kept disconnecting and reconnecting. I closed Dirty bomb twice and reopened it to rejoin the match, which did nothing, after the second reopening I was at the home screen and got a message saying I’ve been kicked for a security violation when I didn’t do anything. Please fix this, because I’ve only skipped out on one, maybe two games for reasons IRL, I’ve never done and never will do anything harmful to the game or other players.

I’ve never heard of someone being able to forcefully disconnect players by putting in code in the chat so that has be worried. However this issue is very well known and is being worked on by the devs for a while now, it’s caused(At least in most cases, not sure about yours) when the anti-cheat crashes, it believes you used third party programs to do so and in turn it kicks you from the game.

As far as a ‘line of code’ being put into chat, it shouldn’t be able to cause any crashed or anything like that. It is more like that this was caused by server instability than a player taking any actions. Please provide any evidence to the contrary in a ticket to Nexon Support.

For receiving the security violation, it was most likely and error within NGS causing it to crash. Thus it kicks you from the game because NGS believes something may have caused it to crash. If the program detected a 3rd party program you would most likely be banned already. If the program crashed with no reason it just boots you with no actual penalty, so don’t be worried about the security violation you got.

Also, I would suggest searching the forum for similar messages before posting yourself. This has been discussed in some depth already and the unexpected error causing NGS to crash is already being looked into and will hopefully be resolved soon.

In the meantime, I will be closing this thread, as all of the concerns in it should be addressed.
