Game stutters and locks at around 42-56 frames

I recently Posted about a heat issue, which was a problem due to bad motherboard and bad coding (others have the problem too). I fixed that problem, but ANOTHER issue popped up… NOW It seems there is a problem where after a set amount of time in game (I haven’t timed it) I have a weird FPS lock to anywhere from 42-56 fps. It’s not the PC. cool 40c while playing this game, 33-35c playing any other game, including Titanfall, Metro last light, Dark Souls 2, BF4 and some others that are CPU beaters. This game gets the hottest STILL and I can’t seem to find a fix for the stuttering. It SEEMS like it is a problem with V sync, but I need V sync (doesn’t work on my card right either, figures) and when I do turn it off, I still get the weird stutter that comes with the frame drop, but a LITTLE higher then 60 frames. It doesn’t stop the stutters… My system is…

FX-8350
GTX 660ti 3gb SC
Asus Sabertooth 990FX Motherboard
Crucial Ballistix 8gb Ram
7200rpm Toshiba 1TB HDD
126Gig Windows SSD
Windows 8.1

I did everything you can think of and I’m tired of trying to figure out what the issue is, so i figured I would post it here and see if someone with a similar system could chime in or ANYONE with the issue or a similar one. I need this fixed. Mybe a dev can give me some sort of answer?

I have a similar issue with an FX8320. No overheating, but after 5-10 minutes of gameplay I go from 150+ FPS to 60-110 but extreme stuttering. Think it has to do with poor optimization for AMD CPU’s. Unfortunately I don’t know of a way to fix it. I’ve tried basically everything.

I am getting stutters too, it seems on some maps more than on others. And it is from the 1st seconds of playing. It happens mainly during explosions (especially airstrikes), but I think that’s not the only cause. I play on all low/disabled. This started happening after the last patch. I have NVIDIA GTX285FTW/last drivers which worked fine before since alpha.
It is probably not the same issue as yours though.

Yea figures. I said the same thing in another post, I think it has something to do with our AMD CPU’s, not our fault. I even bought another motherboard, and it still does it. I am positive actually it’s the same problem and I hope they fix it because THis game was BAD ASS before this problem…

It is probably not the same issue as yours though.[/quote] Mine started last patch too! I also noticed geometry ends up switching to LOW (I play maxed) even though I MAKE SURE to leave game after setting settings to high.

I have the same problem + a menu lag,i can reach 60 fps but after 15 minutes,i get 20-30 Fps…

Not even 15 minutes for me. More like 4-5 minutes. Every match. But I noticed the Player cams are still 60 fps. When you start a new match does it start at 60fps?

I just reread yours. You said you have Nvidia with the latest drivers… I do As well and i think it did something. I am having the issue you speak of (“It seems on more maps then others”) In Titanfall. Some maps run fine, others lag. I tried to reinstall EVERYTHING from Nvidia, but when I reinstalled windows I think I still ended up downloading the latest geforce experience with the latest drivers, so I think it is Fucked up and messing with something in the PC registry. MAYBE.

I have severe lags on explosions, but not only. Started with last big patch. Latest Nvidia drivers. The game just basically freezes for 1 second and I usually get killed in a lag. Starts to happen right after the game start. The frequency depends on the map. But for sure it happens at least during airstrikes.

Similar problem fixed for me: disable hyperthreading at bios, i dunno if a equivalent technologie exist for AMD.

I fixed the issue BUT it’s still really unoptimized. I had to reset my SATA and GPU for some reason. But that was after I reinstalled drivers again.

What do you mean you reset your SATA and GPU? How do I go about doing that, I’m having the same problem you were.

I took the SATA cables from my hardrives out and made sure they were in perfectly. Same with the GPU. Took it out, and put it back in. Also, if on AMD, go into your bios and turn turbo core OFF!!!
