Game stopped running for no reason

I was able to play DB all day yesterday with no problems, i got back home to day and it wont even launch, but every other game will, any reasons??

yes i have, i even deleted and downloaded the game again, checked all updates for my pc but nothing, i click on it and for a few brief seconds it says the game is running and then it stops, no error message or anything

Check \Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\ShooterGame\Logs for a file named Launch.log , and please paste the contents to http://pastebin.com/ so we can have a look at what’s happening.

it appears for what ever reason pastebin is being unresponsive on my computer, any other way i should send this to you

Oh crud, I’m sorry man! Getting swarmed with notifications and I don’t always get to see the things that are important.

Any other method of sending Launch.log is fine, it’s just a text file. Perhaps some place where you can upload files? Dropbox?

the second link is when i click in the logs folder, its empty

Start the game again, it should generate a new logfile for you, and it may have clues as to what’s failing.

Mind you, aside from my best efforts to help, opening a ticket with support in the meanwhile may get you results sooner!

that is the main problem… the game wont start at all… it says it does… but it never opens, and then steam says im not playing a game anymore…

Hm, I had hoped that it would at least show something…
I take it that you’ve already tried to reinstall Dirty Bomb? If so, contact support because I’m quickly degrading to the point where I’m just throwing advice around to see what sticks.

I have the same problem as well. Today i played as well and later the game didn’t launch. It says its running but nothing happens. I checked the log and i found this: “Failed to initialise NGS. Error code: E1600301”. I couldn’t find any solution for this. Man it feels so bad :’(

hmm… has anyone trying starting their computer in safe mode with networking? then try launching DB. could you get a message as to what is going on then?

i sent a ticket to the tech support guys and they told me to do that, it didnt work at all, the result was the same

Yep, it didn’t work, BUT if I disable my antivirus the game is working again!! @Chip maybe it will work for you as well worth a try!![/left]

I dont even have a antivirus on my pc :frowning: what else could i do??

Make sure anything that could be considered suspicious is prevented from running and restart your PC.

Alternatively try to make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date, this is a common solution for this problem.
