Hi,
I’m trying to get a list with game modes together.
And if they are already available in an ET mod / ET main.
So if you know other gamemodes not mentioned in the list or if you know which mod has one of the listed gamemodes please post.

JAYmod has the PanzerWar and SniperWar options, so you might want to add this mod.
Othergametypes are of course single player and COOP, but i don’t think you want to list these. Just mentioned them because they are still in the code but non functional.

Here some mods/gametypes from RtCW:[ul][li]Goldrush - Collect gold and secure it at flags to get XP - but the more gold you carry the more it slows you down (part of banimod).
[/li][li]Team conversion with Bunny mode - After a player is killed he changes to the team which revived him. When only one player of a team is left he becomes a super bunny with some super weapons (TC Wolf mod, http://users.pandora.be/tcwolf/final%20releases/tcwolf_0.41.zip ).
[/li][li]Freeze tag (with map objectives) - A player with 0HP freezes instead of getting killed and can be reactivated when another player from the same team touches/revives him, when all players of one team are deactivated the other team wins or alternativly the team which accomplishs the objectives wins (part of shrub).
[/li][li]Checkpoint - Objective is to control all the flags on the field (RtCW gametype).

[/li]Don’t know if you add superplayer-mods (players have the abilities of all classes at the same time, e.g. RTCW General Player Mod), since they don’t add new gamtetypes, but change gameplay (like headshot mods).
For RtCW there is also a “Man With The Golden Gun” mod.
Where does ET Headshot 2 fit in? Is that considered team deathmatch or some sort of last-man-standing?

- added CoOp and Campaign to the teambased modes
- added “Get the duck” (not sure about the name - it’s an ETF mode)
- made a seperate list for the one weapon taype “mutators” PanzerWar and SniperWar

It’s a map used for training. 2 teams can enter the arena, if one team is dead, the other team wins.
I saw you listed mapping “ET-Main Mapping” as well, but the mode in this map is probably last man standing.

are you only looking for gamemodes that exist in ET or can we add ones from other games that have not been added yet

*GIANT - one super player chosen at random who is character who has more health and does more damage then other players and is also larger. When one player kills the giant they become the giant untill one player has spent enough time as the giant to win the match
there is also the ETpub ET tatics mode
knife only mode
and although its not a gamemode in its own right i have played 1 on 1 duels on servers so i gess that is sorta a makeshift gamemode that no1 has made a mod for. Although some maps try cater for this
and whatever that gamemode was in that rtcw that got realsed way after people stoped playing. umm… where you had to steal cogs to make your teams deathray work and stuff
Banimod/RtCW has a number of game modes that I’ve never tried (with the exception of goldrush):
Goldrush, Assassin, King Of The Hill, Dynamite the Hill, and Ultra Checkpoint
(I know some of them are already in the list.)

I want to achieve the following with this thread:
If someone wants to make a mod for ET he/she should have an overview what already has been done and which game modes could be fun and could be added to ET.
Of course you can post your gamemode ideas.
I’ve added “Giant”, “Knife only” and “Tactics”.
Also added “Assassin”, “Dynamite the hill” and “Ultra checkpoint”.
I have to think about further abstraction.
Like “steal items” for the CTF-like game modes.
And find some new catchwords for some of the modes.
there was a map where allies and axis had to do a race accorss some trickjumps so i gess that could be a differnt gamemode
for a gamemode of my own invention that i cooked up a while ago but could not find anyone willing to help implement
Survival - two team, one human and one bot, the bot team should have significantly more players maby 1:2 or 2:3 ratio depending on dificualty. The human team have a “base” that is a small section of the map they are unable to leave due to various reason (terrian placing). The bots spawn and then charge the base for ither a number ok bot kills or just a time limit. Players have limited lives and bots will seek to gib players, Map end when humans win or they are all killed
posible setting i had when develpoing was a trench network and a palaza in a goldrush/oasis style map. There are many other but they are what i used to develop the idea

There are also two new headlines: humans vs. humans and humans vs. AI
Not sure how to fit in bots.
Because every other gamemode is possible with bots.
BTW survival mods are available for HL2Source and UT200X.
RTCW-DeGeneration has some kind of basebuild mode.
You have to steal items to build a generator.
And one of the ET-Mods also has a TDM mode as far as I remember (Domination or Wolfenstein: The Frontline not sure).
Wolfenstein: The Frontline currently has got deathmatch and team deathmatch.
There is a different kind of capture the flag (used by DFLW) there are like 20 red flags and 20 blue flags scatered over the map and the team who collects the most flags wins on the end of the round (or the team that collects all flags first)
