When I first started playing this I noticed it would often freeze completely when in the Appearance screens if your mouse hovers over a different item. Not a huge deal since it wasn’t affecting gameplay, until today. During a solo run of “Day 6: Early Launch” while running toward the crane controls the game froze with the sound running in a loop. I had to stop the process from the Task Manager. I have played every mission on the Revolution side in a mix of online and solo and each Security mission up to that point, also a mix of online and solo without the freeze happening during gameplay. I see a ton of people complaining about low FPS with ATI cards and I have seen a small handful of slowdowns but it is typically 40+ FPS even in an online campaign match with a download running in the background.

Comparison:
I play many other online games and this is the only one that I experience freezes with. I maintain relatively high graphical settings in games such as WoW, Rift, Eve Online, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Team Fortress 2, Portal, Portal 2, etc. My settings in WoW are all at maximum and only during the first minute of loading in a busy city (in an overcrowded server) at login do I ever detect any delays. I have partaken in several massive (300+ players) events, to include an attempt to choke out players that caused my wife to experience 10 FPS, without dropping below 35 FPS myself. I know the hardware and settings are sufficient to handle the load.
I am an experience PC technician so admins please contact me if you need more information or would like dumps and/or testing. I can replicate the freeze in the Appearance screen but I don’t know if I can replicate it in game.
Edit - After reading some of the other posts I needed to specify that I launch the game via Steam.
