Game freezes when trying to join team

I have both CTF_red and blue spawns and team_wolf_obj above both spawns and i’ve set my mapcoordsmaxs to 10000 -10000 and mins to -10000 10000 just to make sure they aren’t the problem. my spawns are in open area and there is no chance that 'd spawn inside brush but when i try to join allied or axis the game just freezes compeletly :? in console i see this error afterwards

Quote from LDR "Precipitation effects and the mortar weapon require a tracemap to work. To generate a tracemap for your map run the game in developer mode (/developer 1) and type the following command ‘\generateTracemap’. This will generate a tracemap image (.tga) with a 256x256 pixel resolution.

The ‘\generateTracemap’ command stores information in all of the different channels:

Red: Top down mask (height map) of the ground surface of the upper level of the map. (A very good temporary image for the command map as it shows most map details)
Green: Top down ground mask from the perspective of the sky

When in your map bind a key for \generateTracemap’ eg. \bind T generateTracemap

The game will lag horribly until generation is finished, just give it time.

:S i am sure my mapcoords make square and map fits inside them they are -1000 1000 and 10000 -1000 any ideas?

maybe try a number which is…(ah the lack of vocabulary)
just like 32 64 128 256 512 1024 2048 4096 etc, they should be in the 2d view too

Should mapcoords be a power of 2?! That’s new for me :expressionless:

well, those are not square…

mapcoordsmaxs 10000 -1000 ( is that a typo? the extra 0? )

and they don’t have to be a power of 2

as long as they are square.
