So i was contemplating whether i should even report this bug/problem since in theory i should not have access to this game (locked region, still playable for some reason)
Anyway, this is now starting to piss me off to the point where i’m ready to throw heavy objects at something to destroy.
Since the first weekend Beta test i’m having an issue where after initially launching a game and directly going to online play (matchmaking, server browser - doesn’t matter), after jumping into the map, i get frozen for ~10-15 seconds. then when the maps evolve or some random events happen (being killed is one of them) cause the same freezes. Which basically frustrates me to the point of simply quiting the game, since it is unplayable.
Looking at process explorer (task manager), during the freezes cpu usage is minimal - 2-3%. while other times it’s 30-40%.
During the last beta weekend i tried some things:
loaded up the tutorial, exited right away after the video, when the map loads. Then entered online game - no freezes. So naturally i assumed it was due to some caching or disk reads or something.
Though i tried this same method today - still getting freezes.
One another thing that is related to this, no idea how, is that the master volume resets to 1. Quite literally if i have freezes and check the volume, it is 1 for the master.
I searched this forum and couldn’t find anything similar so i assume it’s a unique situation.
If you told me it was related to region locks, i wouldn’t be surprised 
Adding to this, almost after every match i get an error saying that i could not be logged on. Though after restarting the game, i can login and play as usual. This could be caused directly by the half-assed region locking, so i could let this one slide.
My specs:
Intel 2500k, oc’ed to 4.1ghz
8gb ram
Nvidia 760 gtx
Gigabyte GA-Z68P-DS3 (rev 1.0) mobo
Heavily tweaked Windows 7 (disabled services, some registry tweaks, group policy tweaks etc)
If you have any idea what’s causing the freezes or how to even test/track it down, please advise. I’m an IT guy myself, i have some knowledge about everything, so please no simple answers (reinstall, verify steam cache etc), unless you are certain 100% that you know the issue or a way to find more info about it.
