As it would seem in the current Crafting system, unless you get rather lucky upon cracking open an Arsenal Case land free Crafting Tools; you need to smelt down Loadout Cards for Fragments to build new loadouts and add to that, then shuffle some 50K credits into a Cobalt. Last night I was looking at my Fragment pool and having been in the middle of a Lead plague from post-game Equipment Cases I’m only right now sitting at around 12,000 some-in game Fragments. This means that there is a very long road ahead of me for the potential of even getting a Cobalt. Because of that, the game leaves me a few avenues:
- Option 1: Purge my inventory of Bronze cards
- Option 2: On my way to 50 K Credits, I’ll hit the jackpot and get some on my way
- Option 3. (A) Upon opening an Aresnal Case or Equipment Case I get my dream Cobalt
- Option 3. (B) Upon opening an Aresneal Case/ Equipment Case get a Bronze/ Silver/ Gold/ Cobalt I’m willling to smelt
So at this point, you’re probably asking yourself, "When are you going get the meat and bones of your suggestion?
SALVAGE JOBS SUGGESTION
Introduce an additional, and option mission pool players can que into for that day or week that would give a unique mission pool that would reward them with Fragments. Another idea I had is to purchase Salvage Jobs by rarity (how much they pay out), but no matter the avenue Credit missions would be frozen and likely the post-game Credit earn rates as well. Or at the very least, significantly reduced.
If implemented into the game, the Salvage Job wouldn’t hand you the canned “Get Y Amount of EXP with X Character.” Salvage Jobs would reward the team-players, the go-getters, those who go above and beyond the call of duty quite no like other.
Not being a game designer, and it being 1:41 (AM) I’m likely over looking a lot of ones and zeroes of the general balance of things. But the focus of missions would be something along the lines of rewarding objective play, or special weaponry missions, or even maps A few examples I thought up:
- Designated Driver: Mount the EV for total 500 Miles ( note: Not one game, a totaled of EV maps)
- Renovations: Complete a game on OBJ/ SW: Underground completing all primary Objectives
- You Shall not Pass: Complete a game OBJ / SW with the Attackers not completing any primary objectives
- Full Force Ahead: Complete any OBJ map in OBJ/ SW in under 5 Mins on Attack
- Death Salesman: Finish a game of EXE in a shut out, reacing the mercy limit ( 7 / 0 )
This is due for edits, updates and so forth. This was a spur of the moment post, and I’ll keep an ear posted to this because its something I want to really break the ones and zeroes down of
