Hey guys new guy here. im just kind of wondering why does it have to be too complicated ? the install requires me to download and install a nexon launcher but then it displays Riders of Icarus by default. i thought i may have downloaded the wrong game. scrolling through “ALL GAMES” i found DIRTY BOMB again clicked on that… but now it says “PLAY ON STEAM” like WTF !!! now i have to download STEAM ? what do i have nexon launcher for ? the spams and adverts just for fun ? i mean no offence and im pretty sure most of you old players would get mad at the new guy for the negative feedback but just saying, this could have been made better and more appealing to customers. i would have to decline on installing Dirty Bomb as i genuinely feel its too much of a hassle to have all the launchers running around.
Game Complications for New Comers
First of all, as long as feedback is sensible only idiots would get mad at it.
Then while at it, you should really look into a little into your writing, make it a little more…constructed. Just a word of advice, paragraphing and all that.
To the point itself I have absolutely no idea whatsoever where did you first even get the idea that game requires Nexon launcher. That was quite literally ages ago, over a year ago before Open Beta started. As the launcher implies, you only need Steam now to run the game.
Just download it via Steam, forget about the Nexon launcher, hop in the tutorial and enjoy yourself some games
i mean… when you go to official dirty bomb website there is that thing in top left corner “play for free on steam”
and how could you dont have steam!? its 2016, every game is released there

*every game except Overwatch and Minecraft
But yeah you must have Steam if you play games at all. It’s the best thing ever and you can even make money from trading (mainly csgo, tf2 and dota)
I think the real questions are
- Why are new comers forced to play Aura as their first Medic, when Sawbonez is EASILY the easier to pick up and play, and use well.
- Why is there no free engineer?
- Why are the crosshairs not aligned properly with the center of your hud?

I guess because Aura and Skyhammers are perferct for farming credits.
Hate to be this kind of a guy to a newcomer. But it’s not bad customer support if you can’t read. Sorry.
Here are the first google entries for Dirty Bomb.

And the site states you have to play it via steam.
If this was not clear enough for you, don’t rant about it being too overcomplicated. Sorry to say that.
Dirty Bomb has only used Steam for 1.5 years now in regards to installation. You have never needed the Nexon launcher since the move to Steam that long ago. I feel as though you loaded up an old email and tried to install that way or used a very old URL on an old web site post.
So you do not need the Nexon launcher either running or even installed to play Dirty Bomb. You just need Steam.
