I experienced a strange glitch recently that disabled the notification that I needed to accept a competitive game. I was browsing the update information in-game while searching for a competitive match in the background (I have had no previous problems doing this).
I noticed that a game had popped up and only one person had accepted. I clicked on it and saw the standard “X people need to accept” message, saw that people had started to accept, and assumed that I was the first guy to accept (I had no popup indicating that I needed to accept, and saw no prompt for it on the matchmaking page).
I went back to browsing the update notes, looked up a minute or two later, and saw that the cue wasn’t there anymore. I went back to the competitive tab and saw that I was temporarily banned for not accepting a competitive game.
This may have been caused by my switching pages while the popup was loading, overriding the popup. Hopefully the developers can do something so that poor souls like me don’t get banned from competitive because of a bothersome glitch.
