[Game Bug] Switching network causes mercs to change

(KardaKAX) #1

Hey guys, little (or so I thought when writing said word) backstory on this bug:

So, in my last few competitive matches, I was noticing a bit of lag, nothing unusual there; it was just my WiFi changed to the extender prior to the matches I was playing.

At first I thought this was just me getting put in a different region’s server as it was around 100 (That’s US ping to me ^^) but in my second match I ‘tabbed’ out of the game to check my WiFi. Finding that it was on said extender I changed it to my original WiFi network… Mid game no less.

After going back into the game, I was ‘Kicked’ for the network changed. Nothing new there. I tried re-joining and it said something about the anti-cheat not being able to verify. The option it gave me was to “Exit” but rather than do that it just closed the window and asked me to rejoin again. I complied and joined the match

Now, here’s the weird bit.

Upon re-joining the match, I was given the wrong merc’s to what I chose. I had Arty, Pheonix and Fragger in my native roster, but the game decided to give me Sawbonez, Proxy and Fragger. Now, I would say the card’s rarities here, but the box where you choose your merc’s upon death was just blank with an outline to where the first merc’ would have been. I assume they were of default rarity compared to what I had before, but I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between the two Fragger cards as what I have is the same as the default (Aside from the passive abilities, which aren’t really a good thing to compare to).

I would assume that this would probably be a rare ‘bug’ (If you could call it that, I mean, not an expert here :"D ) but it was annoying for me to play with merc’s I was not very good with.

Thanks for reading!
(Sorry if this was brought up anywhere else, I checked for about 15 minutes but couldn’t see anything related to this)
