[GAME BUG]E.V. Memory Leak(Temporary Fix)

To temporarily fix this bug, restart your game client.

my cursor looks like this when the game starts … until the end (i’m not looking at the EV in this image)

-i cannot walk through the invisible EV
-i cannot repair the invisible EV when on attacker side

  • i can shoot through the invisible EV


here you can see people behind the invisible EV. I could shoot them.

happens once till twice a week
i have to rejoin to get rid of the bug, death won’t fix it

i am not sure if the cursor is like that during the warm up round or right after - will check that next time
Edit: cursor is like that only as long as the EV mission part is active
Edit 2: just had the same bug on Bridge

[left]I experienced the same bug today.
Can only add that, yes the EV is invisible during warm up and the Hud for interacting with the EV is there during warm up.
The Hud is there the whole time, even during death.[left][/left][/left]

I had this on Bridge, so tied to EV and not the map itself.

It persisted through both rounds in SW mode.

This happens nowadays to me aswell, cannot interact with the ev and it’s still invisible.

Anyone found a way to fix it? It also happens to me in competitive matches, so annoying :frowning:

Hey @coltishAtom and friends! Questions for you:

  1. When this happened were you in the game from the start or did you join a match in progress?

  2. Also was the EV always invisible or did it appear again when the attacker completed the objective?

This happened to me as well, but instead of the EV, the invisible item was the THING that helicopter drops on last part of Railroad map.

  • I was able to move through the item , but if i stop moving, i would get pushed out.
  • I was able to shoot through the item
  • I was able to place mines inside the item (Yes i did and it went off everytime enemy came near it)
  • I was able to move inside the item and stay inside the item and shoot enemy players, but they couldnt shoot me.

Sadly i dont have any screenshots…

Also there is another bug that disorientates enemies / team mates, their body would look like some sort of mutant (big - Long - Bent sideways with head popping out) and you will be able to damage them if you shoot any of those parts

Alright @peppyFarmer :
-Did the container appear invisible the entire game (after the helicopter dropped off the container) or become invisible after a period of time? Also if you can remember any other issues that might have been going on such as lagging, other graphical issues ect)
-If the server/game crashed (I’m assuming no)
-If you joined mid-game.

Obviously not peppyFarmer but this issue has happened to me as well with the partially invisible container on the last stage of railroad. It’s happened several times in fact, before the last patch. For me only two sides of the container are visible, while the rest is completely invisible. I have never crashed during it, lagged during it or experienced any other issues.

As for joining during mid game, I am pretty sure it has happened whether I was there the whole time or joined during a match in progress but it was ALWAYS when I was there for the helicopter dropping it and always on defense. It remained partially invisible for the duration of the match.

-No graphical issue or drops. FPS was constant at 60.
-Container went invisible right the moment helicopter dropped it ( i was defender, so i was standing next to it)
-I think joined from start (not 100% sure though)
-No the game nor the server crashed, everything went fine. I was able to join another rounds n play normal !

@Dirmagnos YES LIKE THAT !! In my case these players will be spawning like that and will stay like that throughout the round… (rare case 1 times my team mate rhino spawned like this, i told him n he suicided…and spawned normal)

Sometimes this thing happens to me too but it’s when i try to pick up the objective or to deliver it and if i cancel it , that thing stuck in the midle of the screen.

I reported this a while back in my bug forum as well. (this happens to both EV, and the delivery container on maps that have it)

This also happened duing a dity cups match (but only to spectators)
ironically, the rest of your team will be unaffected, only you experience it.

Using this situation to report another ANNOYING BUG…

-Pickup datacore
-Sprint with it
-While sprinting change weapon
-You will drop the item BUT, in an instant your primary weapon changes back to the data core, i.e you can only melee. But the original item will be on the ground.
-Change weapon again to make the fake item on your hand disappear

@MissMurder The invisible EV happened to me on chapel as well, people were calling me hacks because i shot them through the EV which i couldn’t see and when i explained to them that i couldn’t see it, they understood, at first i thought it had something to do with my internet but after reading this i know it is a glitch/bug. A pretty funny glitch/bug in my opinion, both teams had a good laugh (lucky it was in a casual and not in a comp game)

Friends of mine still having this quite regularly on ATI cards. I had this on Nvidia regularly until 2? patches ago, since then it stopped (or I got lucky). Coincidence?
