G_AddSpawnVarToken: MAX_SPAWN_VARS

(cl4ym4n) #1

Well…i made a terrain with easygen, texturized and exported it.
Added some spawns and stuff to test, how the map looks like, but i get this error then:

G_AddSpawnVarToken: MAX_SPAWN_VARS

Through the forum search i’ve found out, that this error occures due to too many key/value pairs in the worldspawn entity. A random guy said, that he just deleted the skybox with the worldspawn-settings and it worked for him…

But well…for me it doesn’t. When i clear all vertexmapshader-keys from my worldspawn, none of the textures show up…

So…is there any other way how i can fix or avoid this error?

Thx in advance…

Yea those vertex keys are a pain sometimes, especially when making changes and re-exporting. What you need is to get all your terrain brushes into a func_group(if its not already), an you need these keys:

-you’ll have different number of layers probably
-change “new_torque_terrain” to yourmapname
-you’re .pcx should be in etmain

If you haven’t already, you’ll have to change the vertex shader that EasyGen creates into lightmap. Have a look at the default fueldump shader or have a quick read at Nibsworld Lightmap tutorial for how to set it up.

Sorry for my late reply…had probs with my pc… >_>

Uhm…the terrain is a func_group and already has those key/value-pairs…

Btw…tbh…i am not really familiar with all the vertex/lightmap stuff.
But i gotta take a look at the link…maybe i’m gonna fix this problem somehow… or stop mapping…
