func_bobbing water... help

when I make my water bobbing, it all of a sudden becomes a solid brush in the game, when before it was just normal water… how can I make it so normal water bobbs up and down?

Best way to have water acting like waves is to use a shader entry to the water texture u wanna use.

Using the above shader entry and your own watertexture u will have the same sort of flowing water like the beach map for RTCW. Moving the texture sideways like it was flowing and making waves on the surface.

But if you need water going up and down like a tide or so i suggest u use a script_mover for that.
