dayum son, you know what I like more than my Lamborghini? KNAWLEDGE!
Fun ideas for merc ability inspection! :3
That’s a lot of awesome info, sadly all I remember from chemistry class was that burning magnesium=shiny blinding light! In retrospect, we probably inhaled too much of that on accident, that would explain things…much things.
Year 12 chemistry ATM seems to be boring compared to whatever course you’ve taken.
What kind of courses or qualifications do you have @Balto ? Or did you just learn this by yourself?

i passed chemistry with flying colours in the 90s before most of the fun stuff got banned because muh safety and did a couple courses in college. Originally i wanted to get into pharmaceutical chemistry then i went into data analysis
@bontsa the White Phosphorous part of Stoker’s back story is that he accepted it being bombed where he was at the time, either him or his Squad, he clearly accepted them to be dropped on him without hesitation.
he uses an incendiary grenade that could be using napalm but I have a weird question about that.
My question is what’s in his grenade as it obviously isn’t a Molotov.
Well, conceptually it isn’t. It’s clearly a mass produced one and not the homemade kind someone would immediately think of.
I might be wrong here but it couldn’t be napalm either.
A Molotov is a simple glass bottle filled with a flammable substance and a rag being ignited to use as a wick.
Using gasoline as an example, Gasoline itself doesn’t catch fire, it’s fumes do and Stoker’s grenade are clearly burning a fluid inside of them when primed.
I haven’t seen burning napalm but isn’t it viscous/gelatin like?
I could be wrong and it could also lose viscosity when ignited and be what we see glowing inside stoker’s Inc. Nades.

A molotov conceptually is any form of grenade that does not produce an explosion but instead when upon breaking causes a flammable liquid substance (Gasoline, alcohol, naplam, etc) to land and catch fire.
What is normally thought of when molotovs are mentioned are bottle and wick kinds, like you mentioned. Ideally you put a flammable liquid into a small bottle, and put some form of cloth into it, usually a piece of shirt, a rag, or even paper towel. These can also be called the poor mans grenade, molotov cocktails (usually referring to an alcohol based molotov, like you see in spy movies in bars or the scene from archer when hes at that resort and lost his memory) However, these are not the only kind of molotov, since like i said it just has to be a grenade that doesnt produce a conventional explosion, like a frag or conc, and has a liquid based fire.
Stoker most likely uses an alternate composition of napalm in his grenades, most likely one using petroleum with triethlaluminium and isobutylene-isoprene (butyl rubber).
Triethylalminium is an organoalminium compound with aluminium and ethyl, which in liquid form is very volatile and nearly colourless, and despite its name doesnt have only three ethyl molecules, it has 6 and two aluminium (Al2Et6)
It is highly flammable and ignites immediately upon exposure to oxygen. Inside the grenade, the liquid we see is most likely Napalm, with normal petrol and isobutylene-isoprene as its gelling agent, and when he twists the top it released a small amount of triethlaluminium (here on out reffered to in its shortened form as TEAL because fuck typing it) into the mixture, changing its colour and when the grenade impacts something, the TEAL ignites upon exposure to the air, and catches the napalm mixture.
In theory, stoker could still make his own grenades. Assuming he knows how to actually make the container himself to be air tight, any idiot can make napalm and someone with a small amount of ability in chemistry could probably make and store TEAL in stainless steel containers. All he has to do then is find a way to safely get a small amount of TEAL in each casing and hes good to go.
Also @Redcap , there are many different types of napalm used for different reasons.
Napalm is a lot like Soda.
There are many different kinds, coke, pepsi, 7up, sprite, and for the most part theyre all the same but different.
Some kinds of napalm are more thick and sticky (as seen here)
and some are more liquidy, it depends on what you want to use it for. All you have to do is add more or less gelling agent or petrol to get the viscosity that you want. Generally, if you have a lot of it and are doing mostly anti personnel work and a lot of ground to cover, like was used in the Vietnam war, you would use a thicker napalm because it stuck to people better burns longer and produces more toxic smoke, but if you wanted to cover as much area as possible with a small amount of napalm, like you would see in a grenade, you would use less gelling agent or more petrol so it spreads better, like stoker does.
To specify the napalm is like soda comment was just to give an idea of the same but diverse, dont actually drink napalm or try to burn people with sprite
