I hate the haters as well; and as usual, all the negative reviews or critic reviews ruin the game for me because I can’t stop thinking about them rather then enjoy a game I perfectly enjoy more than most first person shooters I played. Even more fun than Bad Company 2, at least there is a genuine sense of ‘duty’ in your selected class role in Brink, while in BC2 the classes do weak tiny things that have barely that much impact on the fun factor of the game for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love BC2, CoD, Crysis 2, and many othere first person shooter games; but there is very little teamwork and too much reliance on how good you ‘feel’ because of your kill to death ratio. Brink has genuine sense of fun to it, from the beautiful, streamlined user interfaces and main menu, to the simple joy of sliding around on the floor.
I understand that the main pro of most successful shooters is that they are easy to pick up and play immediately, with no nonsense and extremely quick matchmaking. Most gamers these days want a game they can easily sit down with and play from the get go, such as Halo Reach or Bad Company 2, even Medal of Honor despite it’s lukewarm reviews, at least that game has fantastic matchmaking that never fails to find a nearly full server for me to have fun in! Brink is not accessible in this way, hence the hatred towards it. Gamers were expecting a game where the campaign maps were SEPERATE and completely different from the multiplayer maps. Yeah, SD specifically wanted to blend SP and MP, but I think that was too bold of a thing for them to do. With a myriad of bugs, performance issues, and ever since the recent patch even MORE bugs (sound sometimes completely cuts out for my COMPUTER when I play the game, invisible players); this game has alot to do in order to catch up to all the multiplayer heavy hitters out there. It has to do it fast, because that Metascore on Steam for Brink is dropping dangerously close to the 70 mark… I admit, this is a perfect example of why I hate most gamers or critics these days, they just chew up and spit out something without even attempting to enjoy it genuinely. We have all forgotten the joy of videogames to some degree from being spoiled and playing at least more than 500 different games; it is time to take back that joy, and Brink is making me feel that joy.
Otherwise, I support Brink all the way, I am not going to give up on it! I bet my 50 bucks on it when I wanted to buy it, and I am going to make the most of it!

I like this game i don’t see much wrong with it also may i point out he never said ALL people who talk **** about this game are cod fanboys either way i like this game and nothings changing my mind on that

I’m not even going to bother explaining any of it to you, you obviously can’t see the wood for the trees in regards to what i said about the engine etc.
Kids bitch and moan about KDR/NADE BUFFING coz that what kids do, kids being the operative word in that sentance. a group that splah will ignore and continue to ignore because that’s what mature adults do, not get all worked up about some kid that went “WHAH WHAH” oh wait you did that in your origninal post. You must be one of those kids desperatly trying to defend a game that does’nt need or did’nt ask to be defended. Grow up and take the critism this game is recieving, i believe the developers are doing the exact same.

I can understand some people being jarateed off because of bugs and whatnot but really, some people are pushing it a tad too far.

Recieved a message from a long time PS3 friend (one of first guys i added when i got my ps3) and i havent talked to him since the network was down. Message read “Brink is not impressive at all”. I have yet to say anything back as i would rather keep him as a friend then reveal to him just how retarded he sounds and possibly lose him as a friend by alienating him. I mean he is a COD addict that bitches more about the game then enjoys it with each rehash that comes out every year.
AT first the haters bothered me and i tried to reason with them and try to explain why the game is great and something worth supporting but now i just say **** it and decided i would rather make all new friends then try to convince people. This game is great, not perfect but hopefully on its way there and i am not going anywhere and adding new friends now everyday.

I think the game is really fun! It has become my favorite game! But It took soome getting used to because It was a new experience for me wich is very good! 
I hope the haters go back to playing their own game that they like.(COD)

(On PC) Love the game so far.
Aside from a few graphical problems, low fps on an AMD/ATI system, and the sound cutting out on certain maps - the game is awesome.
My biggest complaint about the game, other than those things, is “Be More Objective 2” being damn near impossible to complete. I can’t figure out how I am supposed to play rambo (the one thing you are not supposed to do on this game) and complete the objectives cause my team draws fire and dies instantly leaving me on my own to get owned over and over. Furthest I’ve gotten was like 30% on the hacking portion and then I die and it gets taken to 0% almost immediately. By then it is me trying to make it back to the objective and I’m facing the entire enemy team on my own again. Makes me go crazy.
Playing freeplay with all humans on each team is a breath of fresh air though. It is good enough to make me forget about the renderer issues as well as my sound cutting out. When these problems get patched out this game will be like crack and I will hit the rock every day

OP comes across with just a tad much of fanboyism but I’d like to post anyway to say - loving the game and despite a few issues I’m having a blast and it is my most favorite shooter in the past several years.

I love BRINK but also love Call of Duty, does that make me a bigamer ?.
BRINK gives me the freedom of movement i allways wanted with good team mates that are’nt dicks (except the retarded medics, seriously though we need a medic school). Once BRINK gets fixed performance wise on PC, man it’s gonna be even more kick ass than it is now, and oh for the love of god i hope we get more gametypes, i have to admit im getting a little tired of the same thing, i like my objective games but i like a choice in what i play.
Call of Duty gives me the ability to vent my anger and piss everyone off in the server with me by killing them with the most awkward weapon i can choose, you know that one wepaon with huge recoil and zero power, just prove that any weapon is a good weapon, and they can’t do **** about it.
I like BRINK mainly because it has the exact same mouse aim feel as Call of Duty as most PC shooter use some horrid input system no and it feels garbage, laggy and way to twitchy.

On console yes they are cool, now go onto a PC server and observe the most foul behaved individiuals the interwebz have coughed up in the past 20 years.
I know this to be true because im one of the main offenders in said series of games.

I’m loving every minute I play of Brink. It took a couple days for me to accept the game but after that it’s been nothing but fun. When I’m not playing a game and I am thinking about playing it, SMARTing off walls and over things. Then the dev has done their job. WD Splash Damage.
