I’m sure game crashes happen often so this is partially vague, but I have only had this problem after the containment war event dropped. As far as I have seen, there is no real trigger. It just seems to happen. I will be doing anything, shooting, repairing an objective, running, and doing nothing. The game will freeze, and not respond to a close out. The only thing that lets the window close is a task manager override.

Hello there, are you receiving any error messages or does the game crash to desktop completely?
I experienced this issue as well and also saw someone streaming his playing session having it too.
Your game will just get stuck without crashing, so no error message.
You have to kill the process.
When the game crashes it simply freezes at whatever the screen was displaying. It will stay at this screen no matter what I do. I have tried hitting escape and nothing happens, when I tab out and try to right click close the window nothing happens. The only thing that gets rid of the window is if I use task manager to end the process. I can start Dirty Bomb up right after that if I want, but when I sign in it makes no mention of a crash.
