Friendly or Foe

So I usually can tell who’s my teammate and who’s not(typically by who is shooting at me). However, there is the rare occasion that i will see an enemy that I have to question who’s side they are on based on two things. For some enemies, the cobalt skin leaves a blue tint. Second, and this happens to me a lot more than you may think, but a friendly that is behind an enemy will have their name displayed over their head. This throws me off because the name looks like it is displayed over the head of the enemy. Has anyone else experienced this or am I the only one.

…do not even get me started on the questionable friend/enemy color schemes. That shouldn’t be something that should ever be in doubt during a match.

…unfortunately it is.

I think I’ve only got them mixed up a few times. I don’t pay attention to what their skin is, I pay attention to the slight aura around them.

I can honestly say i have never had problems with this. I don’t know why but i see enemies as enemies and friendlies as friendlies. Although i could see how a cobalt enemy would need a second glance to make sure they are bad, and maybe a Swiss red camo on a friendly.

Yep, and that 2nd glance is what gets me killed  Died quite a few times like this

funny this thread coming up again addressed by another user.

I personally have no issue distinguishing between my team mate or enemy. Not sure if the game supports colorblind users tho.

Enemy cobalt skins do look different although they are blue-ish and I somehow memorized them.

If the red/blue tint would be increased I am afraid the whole point of skins and rarity cards would be lost, because you wouldn’t be able to tell if the player has cobalt, gold or lead.

Ennemies are more bright and allies are darker. It’s the way skins show if it’s an ally or an enemy.

The only one I have problem with is Cobalt Kira - at least one of the variants looks way too blue.

Was fighting an…no idea what merc it was but it was pretty much on close range. Then an Phoenix came around the corner behind him and he was fully blue and i was like “yay a teammate, now we can kill him faster”. I kept shooting and shooting then the unknown merc went behind cover and the phoenix suddenly kicked the bucket when i tried to hit the other merc but instead got him (again). The moment he dropped dead was the moment i realized he was an enemy… .

Some Mercs like Phoenix and Kira look waaay too blue with (some) cobalt loadouts. In close range its really hard to distinguish between friend and foe because you (or atleast i) dont pay attention to the marker on the head of allies that much especially when im busy fighting.
