Is there any plans to introduce friendly fire in comp games? At the moment, most of the comp games are just spam-classes carelessly spamming their shit without any consideration of team-mates. It is rather annoying to play against spam-heavy teams, when they dont have to mind situations, teammates or basically anything.
Double or even triple fraggers, fletchers or naders can be seen in comp, which makes the whole gameplay experience for seasoned Enemy Territory -veteran feel very strange (not even mentioting players who have played games with no or close to zero heavy weapons), since in ET there used to be class-restrictions and ff was enabled, which was good.
I know this game is not ET, but still, there could be some things that could be introduced in competitive mode, to make it more tactical and not pure explosive hell of nades and fire.
I don’t say remove all explosives, but at least there could be SOME restrictions. That way the overall experience would be more balanced between firearms and other tools of trade. I’ve seen too many fletchers/naders only use their secondary abilities without even touching their firearms.
Gibbing is also really really really super fast, rendering most of the medics slightly hard to utilize in combat-situations. Of course they can heal, but reviving… Don’t revive someone in 0,02 seconds -> patient gets gibbed, revive someone -> patient gets gibbed before standing up. Basically the only situation where reviving is useful, is when someone has died behind a cover, or enemy team is dead or their skill-level is shit-tier.
It propably divides opinions, but mine is that more emphasis on actual first person shooting (as in shooting with guns) would prove to be more satisfying than just throwing stuff that explode the shit out of everything.
they remove it
