Friend problem

Hey guys, my friend is having a problem with wolfenstein. He cannot see the server list. No servers come up. He is using vista. Help much?

maybe … his firewall is blocking
maybe … his router is really shitty (like mine)

Probably an annoying firewall issue.

What happens if he tries to connect manually from the console to a server? (i.e. “connect 74.53.29.121:27960”)

It’s just all that talk about Mac VS Windows and Vista being the worst OS ever is getting on my nerves :rolleyes:

I use Vista and i have never had any problems, i had a Mac for a few months and i had no problems with it, and i got XP on this computer and i don’t have problems with that.

Learn to use OS first then complain :cool:

vista was just unstable in the beginning I think (from what I heard), I got vista 64bit this week and its been running fine for me, I havent even had to fiddle around with compatibility for ET or anything.

7 is just like vista in the beginning I heard, so well see what happens when it’s released, but i got more hopes for 7 then I did for vista.

Also got a mac and no problems :smiley:

Well windows 7 is the next generation of Vista imo. What i dislike is all those nifty methods of opening tabs and the toolbar (which is not toolbar, if i am right it’s now The Superbar)
I mean how hard can it be to open a tab. :stroggbanana:

But still, if i would be given a choise of Mac or Windows. I’d take Mac for my work computer and Windows for fun.

I got vista, NEVER had any pribs with it!!!

I think most ppl who dislike vista

  1. just folow the opionion of other pplz!
  2. dont know how to work with it!

Actually its more a kind of: XP SP3 vs Vista SP2 vs Windows 7
XP SP3 is amazing and a little bit faster than Vista SP2.
Vista and Vista SP1 sucks, they use most of the pc resources and make the pc too slow, and XP and XP SP1 and XP SP2 sucks in their security way!
And for Windows 7 we must wait some few months to see…
For the moment i choose XP SP3 :smiley:

Well about securtiy: if you just know how to secure yourself, don’t download stupid things etc it’s the best :smiley:
I’m running Win XP + SP2 on my main pc (Dualboot windows 7 for web stuff) but just playing and programming windows xp for life!)

The newest Vista versions are fast, and work properly. I got no complaints.

@Scary
you don’t have to download anything to get spyware / viruses. Vista is securer then XP. Also a good firewall and virus scanner will do the trick too.
