The game ran fine before the recent update, I could play on a steady >60 FPS with Low/Medium video settings.
After the update, there were noticeable frame drops in-game, it was down to <1 FPS until the game crashed and froze indefinitely, I had to hard shut-down my computer by holding the power button down as it stopped responding.
In case you were wondering: No, I’m not playing on a potato or a prehistoric calculator, it is quite a decent PC and it’s certainly not too aged. It worked completely fine before the update and I assume it has something to do with the new update. I tried looking into Windows Task Manager and I found out that the game apparently has an extremely high percentage of Disk Usage. A whopping 98% usage merely from only Dirty Bomb and Nexon Game Security.
Frame drops occur in-game after a certain period of time, the first few minutes is usually fine, and does not have any frame drops at all. But they occur after that time and in particularly when I am reloading my weapon, sprinting, jumping or turning a sharp angle on the mouse look in general. The game freezes whenever my character is killed/dies, and continues on freezing until I respawn. What’s interesting is - the game runs perfectly fine in the Menu, anywhere outside of the game’s renderings, Barracks, Store, Profile, they all run smoothly >60 FPS.
I tried lowering my video settings to the ‘Minimal’ preset, with every additional elements turned either ‘off’ or to its lowest option. I also tried changing the ‘Thread Sync’ option, there was a slight improvement for around a minute but the frame drops just happens all over again.
I will keep this thread posted/updated if I find a solution by myself, for the sake of reference to other players who may be experiencing the same issue.
Again, any assistance will be greatly appreciated, thanks.
