Free MERC. weekend or Double UP

(AShoppingCartGLX) #1

I like the free merc weekend why can’t we just do that every weekend? Or double up for weekends because it can get to be grind and that scares players away. Double up can be applied to specific mode(Obj or SW)

(SteelMailbox) #2

I vote for both free rotation and double up

(Dirmagnos) #3

Where is option for neither ?

(Fleshpound) #4

Where is option for every single weekend on Execution until final release or PTS for mercs??

There’s an old proverb: If you give people a finger, they want the whole arm.

there is “Free rotation is fine” and no I’m not asking too much. its just logic if you do Double Up or Free Merc weekend that more ppl will spend money and have way more players. “Nexon will make more money and game will be profitible”. Follow KR, JPN, CN, RU F2P make more $$$ have better games

If people have all mercs and double EXP/CR every weekend, they will spend less money and just play on weekends.

Double up would be cool, but could only happen VERY scarcely. But free rotation is great. Or maybe you could buy a pass to unlock occasional double up weekends? Just an idea.

(Edzer) #9

I’d go for double up, but not every weekend. Should feel like an event, not like something that just happens every week.

(AShoppingCartGLX) #10

buy double XP that will just scare gamers away from Free To Play turing it into a Fremium game. Thats how you kill your F2P game. Seen it happen with many of them. Double Up could be every 2 weeks?

(god1) #11

Double XP is dumb but I’m glad they’re only doing double credits these days.

(ostmustis) #12

gimme extra merc releases instead :stuck_out_tongue:

I said Double XP and Cash read please

I know. They used to do both earlier in the beta but they realized that giving more XP only lets noobs infest ranked MM and level 10+ servers earlier than intended and that’s a bad thing.

I dont consider current free rotation system to be fine either.
Any of those mini-events should be rare, otherwise, as mentioned, majority will only play on weekends. As result, there will be much less players during weekdays and servers will constnatly crash on weekends. That in turn will cause game to lose much of it playerbase and potentially have significant negative impact in the long run.
Giving stuff for free is good, as long its not 2 much and not 2 often. Same with events, more the merrier, but they need to be balanced.

I see your point but you wont lose players. I’ve played many Foreign RPGs/Shooters and they are way more popular because its not a heavy grind. People who enojy will play during the week, Just take is step by step. If you played the other country F2P games you would be imbarassed by NA. Events that give premiums(don’t have to be perm) are very important create long life lot of players. There is a reason why Cross Fire still exists Released in 2007 still most popular shooter.

I personally find the credit/exp gain fine. But then again I don’t play this game like a korean MMO grinder fest -i play it to have fun, do the best I can, and hopefully get nice footage for youtube.

I guess my concern with free mass merc rotations every weekend are for 3 reasons…ish 1) Everyone will be spamming the same mercs every freakin Saturday. 3) Not enough mercs right now and before we know it, no one will really care about these mass rotations because they’ve all played those same mercs before the previous weekend which will lead to 2) people will feel less incentive to PURCHASE mercs because not only do they get a super sample every weekend, but they still have free rotations which last for, what, two weeks?

While I feel like elite cases are a little overpriced currently… and maybe i’m wrong about this but my fear is that SD isn’t making enough money for developing this game and keeping it going. I mean idk how well elite cases are selling but it seems like the general consensus is that they’re overpriced, which makes me think not a huge # of ppl are buying them. And there aren’t THAT many mercs in the game right now, I mean I’ve put about 300ish hours into the game, and I’ve just about unlocked the core 5-7 mercs thru credits I really wanted to play… at this point just dumping my credits into the mercs i don’t really want but will purchase anyways. And while 300 hours may seem a lot, if you look at the # of hours players put into a game over a lifespan of that game… 300 isn’t that much -point is getting the mercs you want thru credits goes by pretty quick in the grand scheme of things.

Personally i don’t mind dropping cash on this money, because I feel it offers me hundreds of hours of entertainment, the least I could do is to support the devs/the game as a whole by throwing some money their way.

So TLDR: I think the current system is fine, some double events are fine, HERE AND THERE… mass rotations should be rare events. Keep it the way it is, just an opinion.

The players who are gonna game all day and grind wont buy anything. FPS games are casual genre. Gamers in NA region are not celebrities like in Korea, China and SEA. So the grind will scare them away. I’ve played 41 hrs still haven’t got enough to buy my character.

People who are going to spend money on DB are.

  1. People who have a job and can’t play 3 hr a day every day.
  2. One’s who don’t mind spending because they have a lot of money or they’re a rich kid.
  3. U.S. gamers that don’t realize how expensive gaming is in their country.
  4. Dedicated Nexon fans.
  5. Hardcore FPS gamers.
  6. Kids who beg their parents for $20 Karma koin

I’ve gotten 50k from literally 1-2 hr a day for 1 and a half weeks. You think the grind is hard lmao?
