And what about the rest of us? I do agree that Nvidia is better, but I chose my graphics card with a budget. Probably the choice for a lot of us as well (with a lot of people having a 4670). And it’s not like I was going to go for the 9500gt, when the 5570 is better, with just 10 dollars more. At least that’s what it was the last time I checked.

Tried using the fps config here, and I never drop under 100fps on the counter. Still feels like 20 fps and is almost unplayable.

It was merely a SUGGESTION.
And about the fps cfg. Some people said that their entire game had to reinstall after they used it, but I had no trouble with it. If you’re running with extremely low fps, or at least feel like you do and it tells you otherwise, I don’t think this is something we can just fix ourselves. I envy those who got it working. :frowning:

Yes there is a 30FPS cap only in singleplayer.

Im sorry bout you guys…but the best thing i did in my life was to change to nvidia.

I used to have a 5870.

Im not a nvidia fan but it sucks to always have problems with ati lol…still their price is always awesome.

Anyone have a confirmed fix for the 4XXX series of ATI cards? I tried the hotfix but no dice so far.

around 30fps average. I’ve tried 11.5, 11.4, 11.3 and 10.11 without a large difference in any of them except 10.11 which made it smoother at higher frames.

Thats because you need to delete the line for FOV, it is currently not adjustable and will cause the screen to jump back and forth if edited. Do that and I bet the game runs completely smooth!

Sidd, it was laggy before I tried changing anything.
But if there is an FPS limit on Single Player, everyone should be having this problem, and people with nvidia would have no advantage over people with ATI.

Oh well, I have about 30 fps in multiplayer now, seems a little weird. The counter is constantly showing about 30 fps now. In singleplayer it was showing 80+ but it felt like 20 fps.
I guess this is just a major performance issue, and we can only wait and hope that it will be fixed.

That usually happens when your card is overheating.

Im having the same issue, i did some research aswell, the game reports 60+ Frames, actually reporting 75, however it feels like 30 because it is 30, for those of you that dont know the SP is capped to 30fps because it sets you up as a listening server, theres a small tutorial on how to get around it for now here

and i know its not my rig…specs are as Follows

CPU:Intel Core i7 980X-@-4.6Ghz
Mobo: Asus Rampage III Extreme
RAM: 3x2GB Corsair Dominator IV+3x1GB Kingston Xtreme-All @ 2000Mhz
GPU: 3x Nvidia Geforce GTX 470’s 3xSLi running @ 725/1450/1750

and not to mention 2 SSD’s in RAID0 and a ton of other useless info, but this game is running a primitive engine (ID-Tech 4 A.K.A. Doom3/Quake 4 Engine), and even modded it doesnt have the juive to take on a rig like mine and im running 30fps…bleh, this game needs some serious work, i played the MP, works fine however i want to play SP first and im not happy…waste of money, i belive every developer needs a little slack when they first release a game, but theyve already come out with one patch and they havent fixed the most notorious problem first…sad but oh well

it would be nice to know if we can hope for an soon fix or whats the problem is…

I have tried 10.5 drivers 10.5a Hotfix, 10.3 drivers but… it seems like random when the fps gets down to 10fps!! Its like an total desaster and i have turned all grafik details off with the brink config tool… but the fps are bad as ****. :wink:

All other Game like SC2, Crysis2, BC2 and so works fine, so some major problem must be inside the driver or the game.

AliveAngel you mean 11 instead of 10 in all of those right? I don’t think there was a 10.5a driver.

This is happening in the MP… nothing to do with Single Player.

HD 5770 here and I can’t play the game. Lowest ever graphics, and terrible framerate lag. It’s just about playable.
