Fragger's nades seem op.

Fragger is the best at what he does and his name implies. He’s the most versatile assault class. His nades, are amazing and another reason why he’s usually the only assault picked in competitive mode, it clears entire rooms. “hide when u see him holding a nade”, right :slight_smile:
U cook the nade behind cover and then u peek-a-boo! 3 kills on people hiding on a healstation. The nades have long range too.
He also has the m4, which IMO, is still the best weapon in the game, extremely easy to use in all circumstances.
It’s “even” better than all the SMG’s which seem like assault rifles

The K121 kills much faster, the reason most picks the M4 for Fragger is because Unshakable and 10% AoE

The K121 kills much faster, the reason most picks the M4 for Fragger is because Unshakable and 10% AoE[/quote]

Actually the reason is because the K121 has a HUGE amount of spread when firing - you have to ADS (which means you can’t see what you’re shooting at due to the visual recoil of the gun) or you crouch (which makes you move even slower than normal, making you an easy shot) or you stand still (which makes you an even easier shot than crouching would).

Meanwhile the M4 can be fired from the hip consistently while strafing up to medium range, has an easier time taking out long range targets due to the lower spread, allows you to move strafe slightly faster, allows you to ADS and fire at the extreme long range targets without your target disappearing behind your gun’s visual recoil…

Yes, the Unshakeable augment is a big bonus, but so is the Tough augment that comes with the K92 loadout (for the K121 only). Personally I would prefer to have Tough over Unshakeable if I had the choice for Fragger.

lol, seriously? tough will make almost no impact in 5v5 play, you would always have a medic with you, throwing medpacks all the time.

Unshakeable allows you to survive nades that would otherwise kill you, which can be huge. Unshakeable is def one of the best, if not the best augment in the entire game.

Somewhat offtopic here, but since it’d be stupid to write a whole thread about it, does Unshakeable affect said characters own explosives too? Asking since there’s characters that can obtain Fail Safe (-30% from own explosives) and Unshakeable, although in different cards.

100% incorrect. The only reason why the M4 is taking over the LMG is due to Unshakeable and Unshakeable alone. The 10% AoE is nice but it’s not really a factor. The LMG is simply a better gun in the right hands. Yes, the M4 might work better for you or others. It’s a good gun. But the m4 being better has nothing to do with it being the pick for most Fragger players in high level play.

Fear not @Szakalot for I have returned from the battlefield (rather empty one, namely 2 players for certain mythbusting orientated reasons) to tell a tale for us all!

Point-blank Skyhammer marker (indoors, if matters anymore due update) against Fletcher, with Unshakeable: 110hp -> 30hp, thus dealing 80 damage. Same marker again, same enviroment, against Sawbonez without Unshakeable: 110hp -> 10hp, thus dealing 100 damage. Unshakeable states 20% reduction, I see it working as intended.

Now Fletcher with Unshakeable, sitting above his stickybomb: 110hp -> 30hp, thus 80 damage. Fletcher without Unshakeable: 110hp -> 10hp.

Conclusion? Unshakeable works for own explosives too. FailSafe confirmed useless (if one struggles to pick between said 2 augments), since even with CQC explosive usage Unshakeable is almost as good, and shines in defending against everything else too.
