Fragger's Nade wut ?

Am I the only one feeling like fraggers nade is kind of “inefficient”?
I had to play a bit of Fragger today and it happened to me several time that the nade i threw in a bunch of people killed only one and the others were left unharmed or almost.
For example it happened on first stage terminal I was defender and ennemy had taken the hall on the left of the Objective wall, and you know there is a little spot there where Ammo and Health station are often put. There was a health station and three ennemies in this little place, so really close to each others, so like any good Fragger would do, I took my nade cooked it 2 second and threw it right in them, I felt like yeah everyone’s gonna die.
I was left with a salty mouth when only died and the health station wasnt even destroyed.

Its like if people’s body blocked almost all the damage. Am I the only one experiencing such thing?

Nah, I’m with you. It feels like his frags have a smaller radius than Fletcher’s stickies. Throwing frags at groups that used to get me 2+ kills now only gets me one kill, if I’m lucky.

Objects and bodies block explosive damage. It’s better that way, the old Fragger nade gave me a fresh new tumor every time someone used it.

It looks like explosion’s mechanics (for any explosive weapon) have some kind of line of sight, allowing you to block the explosion with yourself to cover a more inportant player. In my opinion, it’s a pretty neat feature.

This said, last time I threw Fragger’s grenade, I killed three people just by tossing it at the center of a group hidden behind the EV on Bridge’s first stage (as an attacker). It’s all a question of angle calculation and positioning.

So this grenade is now either be lucky or be useless.
Sounds like bullshit smells like bullshit, I dont need more.
Here is another merc im gonna tick on the Dont play cause useless ability list.
Like what is the point of having a grenade if its to kill one guy everytime IF you’re lucky and here wasnt a ammo station in front of him. That’s ridiculous.
This game was supposed to be difficult but now if a grenade goes off right in front of you you’re alright because thank god that health station took all the blast. Thanks to whining part of this community asking for new nerf everyday making this game more and more casual at every new update.
@Ardez @Amerika We unveiled the mystery of the useless frag there is no need for this thread to stay open I just needed to know that.

It’s been like this since they nerfed fragger grenades a long time ago. Probably last august or so I want to say. In the past Fragger had two very fast throwing grenades and each one could destroy a whole room easily. Now a body or a station or something like that can block the path of the blast. Virtually everyone in the community (competitive, casual etc) agreed with the change (even though it wasn’t documented). It was way too easy to clear whole rooms with just one grenade. So now you get 1-2 kills in a whole room unless you get really lucky but typically people are still super damaged. So Fragger’s grenades are still one of the most consistent damage/kill abilities in the entire game despite stations/bodies blocking blast waves. If you had played using grenades back then with anybody who was event decent at throwing them you would have wanted to throw your monitor.
