Yeah but at least with Fragger it’s because of his power out to skill in ratio. A poor Fragger isn’t going to do much better than a poor Vassili. And I think it’s okay for Fragger to be a bit more powerful than other mercs, he’s also a bit more limited to what he can do. Killing is practically all he can do where most other mercs have something else to add.

Fragger is an assault class. He cannot damage the EV or generators very well. He can’t give ammo to teammates or perform any other support role. His HP, weapons and ability is pretty much there solely to kill as he is there to be a combat XP machine. Trying to compare Stoker or any other Fire Support to Fragger directly in regards to killing power isn’t accurate since they aren’t the same class.

In a vacuum Fragger is more powerful when comparing offensive potency. But that’s because he’s supposed to be. He’s literally the “tip of the sword” merc that is the entry man and performs no other significant role beyond that. He would be pretty terrible if he wasn’t slightly better at killing than a Fire Support merc.

I’ve been playing Execution quite a lot lately. Perhaps I’ve just found Fragger more useful in that mode.

This is like comparing the airstrike marker to the frag grenade.
If the airstrike marker was made to kill people and not disable the EV, then you could compare them, but you can’t.
“And it’s usefulness on the EV is outclassed by any other fire support merc.” Well, except when the EV is under a roof or something. Stoker kinda shines there.

In reality Stoker is essentially a mixture of several mercs Fragger with the M4 plus high health 120, I know Fraggers health is higher obviously. You have Kira with the Ammo station which really separates Stoker from other mercs and you have something akin to Kira’s lazer in his molotov which yes can be used as a free 10 seconds on a bomb plant which can be extremely useful. However, I feel that Stoker would be amazing on maps like underground especially on defence considering before this patch you wouldn’t have access to ammo because nobody ran Kira or Skyhammer, but now that there is an ammo crate he’s kind of null for that aspect. I do think what you should be saying is does Stoker replace Nader? My answer to that is Yes and No, I feel that they both bring different perks to the table due to their weapon choices, but I feel that they will both flourish on different maps.

Edit: Forgot to mention Fragger is quite a bit weaker right now in my opinion due to the explosive nerfs the decrease to 32cm from 64cm makes a huge impact in the fact that you have to literally throw nades at people’s feet to even kill them. I was throwing spawn nades on Bridge down the alley from Generator and before the patch I would get 1-2 kills a nade and now I only got 1 kill the entire time on that part…
