The K-121 is very difficult to use, though it is considered better than the M4A1 once you are able to control it.

It never sucked. It’s always been one of the best weapons in the game. But it does require a bit more work to be good with in regards to recoil/sway control and you’ll also need to ADS it a lot more often (typically to finish people). People tend to use the M4 on Fragger because it’s a good weapon that is easier for most and you can get a Loadout card that has 10% explosion AoE increase and 20% damage reduction from explosives (key in staying alive against other Fraggers/Naders).

The K121 is brilliant, but the M62 loadout is much better IMO.
As @Amerika said, you get the M4, 10% explosion AOE increase and 20% reduction from explosives.

The K121 is an absolute beast of a gun when you learn to use it, the issue though is that the augments just don’t compare with the M4 most of the time

I agree, it’s just like a beast. Learn to harness and “tame” the recoil, then you will have a tame gun (or beast) that will do wonders for you. Iron-sighting at a distance is important though since long-range hip-firing is hard. Don’t reload very often in combat, it’s slow and one of the advantages of the lmg is the high ammo cap. Use those 55 rounds to your advantage. The next level is learning to land those headshots with the recoil, one headshot will do a whopping 34 damage.
The lack of top-tier augments may be to balance the fact that it’s too awesome. Similar to dreiss on arty. To be honest with you, the m4 augments are cool, but not so cool so that it would replace the k51 power gunner. K 121 with desert eagle is cool, drilled counters the horrible reload time, focus is okay, you will be iron-sighting more often with this gun. Cool is good if you’re on defence and have more access to mg’s. I made the mistake of underestimating and not using them them, they are very powerful especially with this perk.

I have quite a few pub uploads of me playing Fragger and I am proficient with the K121 if you want to see proper usage. You’ll definitely ADS it a decent amount in medium to long range situations and if you want to gib somebody super quick. Here is a recent upload of the K121 post-buff. As you can see it really didn’t change a whole lot other than you get 5 more bullets (back to where it used to be). The accuracy buff was mostly just a paper buff.
