Fragger is balanced, except for one major thing

(ASTOUNDINGSHELL) #21

@Jesse eh No.
Both Rhino Thunder and Fragger are actually taller and overall larger than skyhammer.
while skyhammers bigges hitbox is the legs, Fraggers is the torso and the back, Which makes it painfull when you are flanked or trying to excape, Fragger also has BIG shoulders making his upper torso a large target.

And you havent seen Thunder, His backpack is almost as Big as himself, plus the helmet, He is also as Tall as Rhino, in other words Thunder is the 2nd biggest merc in game.

“Have you had your fruit yet today?”

“I thought fruit was good for you. Have some!”

(Jesse) #23

@astoundingShellfish Eh, yes.
The playermodel and hitboxes aren’t the same thing. Neither the backpack on Fragger or ammopacks on Skyhammer’s legs are actually part of the hitboxes.

As long as it’s not “Frag you” I am happy.

(ASTOUNDINGSHELL) #25

@Jesse
They are, if you shoot them there they get hurt, even if you shoot the backpack from the side he takes the damge, but you should be aiming for head or centermass, even if it doesnt make sense they get hit there, it is the same with RHinos butt satchel

@bizarreRectangle @astoundingShellfish 15 movespeed is noticeable, but it’s hardly a “big deal”.

Rhino is incredibly vulnerable not because of his hitbox, but his low movespeed that is exacerbated by his ability. It’s a lot easier to hit a near stationary Rhino than it is to hit a Fragger that doesn’t have restricted mobility. Fat hitboxes don’t mean anything, people just tend to prioritize Fragger because he’s a major threat most of the time

Sure it’s not really a huge big deal, but it’s hardly miniscule either. You still have to take that into account.

I’d say rhino is much much easier to hit because of the combination of both, I think it’ll be much harder if rhino was the size of a proxy. The fat hitboxes do notify you that he’s there and he’s going to kill you. I escape very easily from these mercs partially because of that and their speed.

Fragger as a whole is designed to kill you, if he can’t beat you 1v1 consistently, he’s either bad or the class is not doing it’s job. That is very bad. You just have to make sure you’re one step ahead or attack him in numbers. If a fragger is killing you a lot, you just have to change tactics, and it means that the fragger is doing his class’s job. He’s rather balanced.
