Fragger grenade often doesn't throw after cooking

Around 1 out of 5 times, fragger’s grenade doesn’t get thrown after cooking it. I do get half the cooldown back though.

I never got this problem when I cooked grenades with the quickbutton ( Q in my case), but seeing as how that severely reduced my mobility because I can not strafe left well while also holding down q. I started selecting the grenade manually by pressing 4, and then cooking it with the left mouse button. After starting to cook it this way, the bug started showing up. I hope my description was sufficient, thanks in advance for the help.

You are doing something to cancel the grenade. That’s not a bug but an intended/normal mechanic. That is why you are refunded part of the cooldown.

Willing to bet you’re initiating a sprint right as you are intending to throw the grenade, so you end up cancelling it instead of throwing it.
