  • It is the responsibility of both team captains to send out challenges. Failure to challenge other teams on this ladder, can lead to you being deactivated.

  • Should there be any issues, ensure you submit a support ticket using our system. Chats without support tickets will not occur.

  • Ensure you use the Change Request system BEFORE you accept or decline a match. Failure to use this system prior to accepting or declining could lock you into the date and time of the match.

  • As for declining, teams get reputation points for using the change request system to create a new date and time of a match. Just remember, use the Change Request system, before you accept or decline the match.

  • The Game Settings that MUST be used for this event are found in the “Details” tab for the ladder --> Please make sure you play according to the settings otherwise you could forfeit the match.

  • Please take screen shots or video as proof of a win or loss. This is to help in case there is a dispute of the match results. The screenshots can be uploaded in the match report screen.

Why use some weird 4v4 format when 5v5 is widely used? 4v4 is going to greatly hinder decent teams from joining.

(playa) #3

4v4 5v5 6v6 who gives a fuk its free

(silver1) #4

Absolutely no point in practicing for a 4v4 tournament when tournaments such as ESL, IGL, BrinkTV cup are and have been 5v5. So essentially, many people give a “fuk”.

(Apoc) #5

Yea 5v5 is what we want, cant practice for both…

Also you should do 1 map, with it going to a 2nd if both teams hold at 1st obj, otherwise matches could take in excess of 2 hours…

(TGMeltdown) #6

Hey guys, thanks for the input.

We are working with SteelSeries to get another headset so we can allow a 5v5 option in the event. Our idea is to have both a 4v4 and a 5v5 option when challenging other teams so you have freedom of choice there.

We have also changed the settings so that just one map is played per game. As you said Apoc, it will take too long to do a best of 3.

Keep the suggestions coming so we know what to offer the community.

(Anderson) #7

Go for the ESL EU ruleset and 5on5 only please

(TGMeltdown) #8

We have decided to go ahead on a 4v4 style of play for now, then to host a second event after this with a 5v5 ruleset. This will not only allow us to cater to everyone, but to also allow us to find out the best team sizes and things for the future.

(Anderson) #9

The main format is 5on5 why bother with 4on4?

(m3lior) #10

the main format has not been tested thoroughly. I am interested to see how 4 v 4 turns out.

(Anderson) #11

Are you kidding me? Its perfect

(m3lior) #12

Clearly… because we’ve had how many tournaments testing different compositions? It’s a good idea to test out alternatives beyond just 5v5.

(riptide) #13

No it’s really not at this point. ESL is offering cash prizes and because of that most teams will want to play with those rules at the very least that format. Why would it be a good idea to change it now. Especially since all pick ups/scrims are 5v5 too. The sooner there is a standard the better for everybody.

(Anderson) #14

Exactly…

(silver1) #15

Agreed…

(m3lior) #16

I agree, a standard should be set asap. That having been said, the time to test out alternatives is now, before the standards are set. Im glad that there are 6v6 and 4v4 tournaments going on.

We have another couple of days for teams to sign up. Get your teams signed up, if you have not done it yet.

Much more to come as far as sponsored events after this one. We are looking forward to feedback from this one to make it better on the next one.

5on5 and tournament format next time would be nice

Time Zone: EST

Even for Eu teams playing against EU teams? :frowning:

“There must be a minimum of 32 teams, for this event to occur!”

Looks like only 11 teams so far. I was about to sign my team up but I don’t think its even worth taking the time to register if they still need 20+ teams in 2 days…
