Is frag jumping considered cheating or is it part of the game?
If you don’t know what frag jumping is: It’s basically when you use a grenade to boost your jump so that you can jump insanely high.

It is considered an exploit atm.
It isn’t really a bug, just an unintended consequence of ‘grenade knockback’.
Anything new here? Because i like those frag jumps, and now i have them almost managed. For a fragjump i loose about 130hp more or less.
Can i get banned or kicked for this? some guy talked about reporting me ^^
In my opinion its absolute fair, its like wall jumps - If you dont can’t -> sucks for you. Fragger can’t support anyone, and he loose almost his complete life for such a jump, so its easy to shoot him.
If its not allowed, is there any chance of servers where it will be allowed? (e.g. Level 20+?)
Could improve the game i think. Especially for higher levels. More “tactic”.
I think it is funny whenever i see a player somewhere out of the ordinary like that, i mean Fragger, Fletcher and i think Proxy can do these kind of jumps.
Even if you are using Fragger with Fail Safe you will only have 30 HP left after Nade jumping so i don’t see it as a problem since most of the time in real gameplay you don’t have the time for these jumps and also the trade off to get somewhere for a bunch of your HP will in most cases be relatively short lived anyway.
The enemy will kill you/should be able to kill you before you can gain much if any advantage.
I actually wish it was deliberate and other areas could be accessed with Nade jumps, afterall there is a lot of inaccessible areas in some maps already like walkways, roofs buildings etc.

its not that bad, because you need full health for that, but with that you can went for example on terminal roof, which is broken

Well it clearly should not because the generated issues with both fragger and fletcher have been reported for a year now… With poor effects considering that some of them are still possible. You can’t blame people for using those on public games in my opinion. I suppose that the common rabble will do its job by kicking the abusive culprit anyway. Going once for the fun seems ok but don’t spend your whole game there.
But on competitive games, I do hope tourney admins take care of such things. Last summer there were already problems due to players using this.
I just wish these jumps were possible without explosives.
It would be nice to see more spots like this, more rewarding jumps and vertical positions. Right now I just feel like the maps are so empty. There’s a lot of stuff on the maps, but too many invisible walls. I’d love to have maps without the invisible walls and more jumps in general.
I remember playing Dome for the first time and on the first objective, there’s those 2 big buildings in the center. I saw a couple of small jumps on the side of the building and kept thinking there was a way to get on top or a passage through, but nothing… There’s just 2 routes to pile in to the objective. Imagine being able to actually utilize a center path on Dome for the first objective. Those vertical spots would be cool. Just my opinion though. 
@Ardez He says he wouldn’t be likely to ban someone for it unless they got a ton of reports of the guy abusing it, he’s also never received any reports for it. It’s just something that needs to be fixed.
If I was administrating a league/tournament setting I’d put it in the rules that any exploit usage, known or unknown, will result in forfeiture of the map and possibly the game. And potential penalties for all players involved if they continuously tried to abuse mechanics. Essentially, use your head. If you can get up somewhere and can’t be shot but can shoot/kill people or anything similar then it’s not legal. If you have questions show an admin for a ruling before using it.
We had a lot of games back in the CAL/CPL days that never had exploits fixed so you basically had to have flexible rules that made people govern themselves and ask for a ruling before using. If they failed in that and what they did was deemed an exploit then they paid for it. Which covers situations and people who say, “but it was never covered in the rules and it’s not patched by the devs so I should be able to use it!!!”. And those types, sadly, exist in droves in competitive gaming.
Grenade knockback needs to be changed. I saw a proxy get launched onto the top of the roof the other day on the second stage of trainyard. She flew like 100m high from a fragger nade.

As Ardez said. It’s considered an exploit by the Dirty Bomb team. Your opinion does not matter and you can get banned for it.

Knockback is different between alive characters and ragdolls. I suppose that the poor proxy was dead when falling there, was not she ?
At least, after much testing, I never saw anyone going this far alive.

Nah, I don’t think they would/should ban someone for this. That does not make any sense. You can’t ban someone because you’re not doing the part of the work. Those are bugs which have been reported for ages and they still have not done anything about them. Putting invisible walls/roofs in a map is a 30s work if you just take the time to do it.
Imagine a situation where the police remove a limited speed zone panel just to bust you for speeding. That’s the exact same thing.

Get a Sparks there and that could easily change though.
